A few days ago I ordered a die cast funny car in 1/24 scale. Price was low because it was a bit beat up. I really only wanted some parts from it so I didn't care. I got the car today in a small envelope. Low and behold it's a 1/64 and not 1/24. Said 1/24 in the headline and description. Sent an email to seller so we will see what happens. Not a lot of money involved and I believe the seller could have made a honest error. We shall see.

I've had the same thing off and on for weeks. I'm taking the Walmart generic version of Mucinex. It works really well for me. (So would Mucinex at twice the price.)

You might also want to get checked for bronchitis. I've had bronchitis so much lately (six or seven times in the last five years or so, with three trips to urgent care) that I know exactly what it is and when I have it, and that's not what I have now, but that doesn't mean that you don't. Check it out. With antibiotics, you can be rid of bronchitis in three or four days. My son and his wife both have professional medical backgrounds, and they diagnosed me as having "that typical Winter Crud that's going around," which is the official medical name for it.

I am taking the real version of Mucinex, and it works for the most part, I do think if I am still coughing by mid week I am going to go get checked out , as it could be bronchitis, never had it before, so its a first time for every thing.    And by doing that , I get the wife of my back of , you need to go the Dr  , lucky you though Richard, having some medical professional in your family , that I bet comes in handy.

It can be a blessing and it can be a curse.  My late father has a brother that has multiple diplomas in different fields of medical study.  When dad was in the nursing home due to his dementia, he was telling me that dad needed to eat more of and what he needs to avoid.  He's in a nursing home due to this disease and if he is feeding himself and eating at all, I'm good!  However, I'm married to an ER nurse.  I get free medical advice when I'm sick (wanted or not) but I get the look when I make dinners that would make a cardiologist shutter.

Better safe than sorry. Scary story. One that obviously shouldn’t have a gun. And for the FBI to become involved. I’m sure they’ve been watching him before this happened.

I don't know if you watch the 10 O'clock News, but this wing nut, from of all places KCMO, got a snout full of meth and decided he should load up all his gun powder and a few fire arms and go have dinner with our President. Virginia's finest clocked him at over 130 MPH.  According to the news he had several guns and a lot of ammo and plans to also visit the Pentagon while he was in town. Thank thanks to the Virginia authorities who stopped him, but it just goes to show there're is a lot people out there who are just ready to go off at any moment.

Yeah, in my line of business, we seldom see the wingnuts, because someone who shops for their firearms at a gun shop, as opposed to the street corner, is 99.9% of the time, a good person. That said, we HEAR about a lot of "wingnuts" and people who should not be allowed to own a dull spoon, let alone a gun. My gunsmith, who works part time for me, is a corrections officer full time. The stories of the people he handles are incredible. We DO have a few tales though as there is always that one guy who is stupid enough to try to buy a gun for nefarious reasons at a gun shop. A fellow came in one day and my son waited on him. My son asked what he could help him with. The fellow answered, in a very flat voice, " I want a revolver". We always ask what purpose they want the gun for, i.e., so as not to sell him an elephant gun to go squirrel hunting with, the proper tool for the job.

The guy said "I have some unfinished business I need to settle". My son immediately told him, "sorry, we will not even let you handle a gun let alone try to buy one". The guy then said "fine, I'll get one on the black market". He left and my son called the local PD and gave them description and plate number, and the PD, who knew the guy by description, (small town we are in),  had him arrested within ten minutes. He is well known, as a person with MANY issues. Turns out, he was in court that morning and threatened a judge, and wanted to "settle the score". He then spent the next 6 months as a client of my gunsmith!

Yup, there are LOTS of crazies out there!

DO get it checked out. The first time I had bronchitis, I didn't know what it was, thought it was just a cold that held on and on for about a month. Second time I got the same thing, after a few days I went to UC and they checked me out and told me that's what it was and put me on antibiotics. The next time I got it I went to UC in a day or two and they got it cleared up. A couple times I had it, as soon as I knew it was coming on, I started taking it easy, such as not going out in the cold or rain, or stressing myself, and getting lots of rest and sleep, and rode it out by on my own. The last time was last summer when I had "the crud" for maybe three days and on the fourth day I woke up and knew immediately it had gone into bronchitis and I went to UC again.

I love your "Dull Spoon" reference as that was a favorite of my mother's. She would describe removal of curtain body parts with the same tool. Like you I have had a few friends who have been in various law enforcement departments. Some of the stories that never make the news are amazing in so many ways. Many of the things they have to deal with no one should have too. Thank heavens there're people who do things for the general public that they couldn't begin to get their heads around.

My daughter in law is a Registered Nurse, and graduated #1 in her class. While she was in college, my son was training (and then serving) as an Aeromed Tech in the USAF--bascially, a flight nurse. He was trained to do pretty much everything she was, plus some things she's not allowed to do to this day, and would need only 6 additional college hours in the field for an RN rating himself. After a full tour of nursing in the back of the airplane, he decided he'd rather be driving, so he became an officer and pilot and today is flying C-17s. He gets to wear TWO sets of wings on his uniform--one for his former enlisted aero rating, and of course his current pilot wings. If I were any prouder of him, I'd have to wear those astronaut diapers all the time.

Snake is right Jonathan, you need to get to a doctor, even if it is UC quickly!  I ended up with bronchitis and have had it so bad I've nearly been hospitalized (Jan 2018, it was BAD), I still have the inhalers from last couple times I had it (thought I had thrown one out) and keep one on my nightstand and one in the filing cabinet at work, just in case.

My sister couldn't get into her regular doctor a couple weeks ago, went to a local UC and got diagnosed with bronchitis/sinus infection...week and a half later, wasn't any better...went to her regular doctor, who diagnosed it as pneumonia...2nd time in less than a year she's had it.   She had a lot of sinus infections living in Arizona off and on for 35 years, and hasn't done much better back in Ohio... I think she's going to start wintering in S. Florida.

When I started in sales with the lawn service I'm now a customer service rep (person on phone that helps w/scheduling, bills, putting out fires of various origins, ect), the sales manager always warned to hold off on selling services to take take care of landscape plants (trees included) since some may not take to getting placed into their new environments all that well, especially if the soil is questionable or worse, the landscapers are as well. I'm begining to think that if I were to add anything to my parent's house, I'd excavate a large area of what can loosely be called soil here and put a ton of black soil down in those areas as I planted them. One thing he also warned of in particular is making sure the root system are free to grow and spread and not contained in any sort of sack or container thar won't degrade quick enough and starve the plants of nutrients. Another that he warned of is "girddling" which something is left tied around the base of a large bush or a large enough tree when pulling it into the hole dug to plant it in, since those can constrict the growth of the tree trunk and also kill off a tree. He has found that some landscapers will do that since the plants would live just beyond any warranty period they might offer before dying off.....then if you've been treating them yourself or hiring a company like my employer, blame it on the care given after they planted it while charging more to replace them.......shampoo, rinse, repeat.

Do you still have tags on those bushes?  The pots they came in?  Receipts from Home Depot or Lowes?

They guarantee their plants for a year.  Haul the dead ones back to the store.   I did so last year.  Got pretty new ones!

I am sure there is way, seal it with plexan maybe, or some other type of clear film that is strong.
