You have great skills and a good eye, James.

This works well. I think you made the right decision with the skirts, too.

When I first looked at it, my immediate thoughts were of how well the lines flowed, not about tyre changing problems.

It's very easy to imagine in 1:1, a tyre change would require the whole panel to come off.

But the builder of the car would've engineered it to be done that way.

So it would be cool.

The headlights make a welcome change from all the usual 49's, too.

Really sweet build. Lookin forward to the Under Glass pics!

Ouff. That's a bad car. In the good way.

Planning on putting some trim between the orange and tan on the side? Think that would make the colors pop even more. Maybe bmf chrome or a black trim.

I had thought about the black or perhaps chrome strip, but I think it would take away from the clean look it has now.

Thanks for the interest.

This is a beautiful model.Perfect design work. The leading edge of the fender skirt and the front fender/headlight panel leads your eye into a great forward angle that just shouts ground hugging kustom.Outstanding work that is a real eye grabber! As for a seperation device between the colors you might consider crafting a couple '53 Buickesque sidespears and either having them chromed or painted in alclad. No matter what you do this already scores very high on the "wow factor"scale.

Thanks Tom, very kind words.

I was thinking the chrome trim on the side would be tough in keeping the flow. I believe it would draw to much attention.

I thought about a nice tight black line to match the interior piping. I think that would do it, but I need to practice on a junker a little before I do though!
