KJ790 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I think I'm finally finished with my 70's style Great Dane Reefer. I started with an AMT Great Dane dry van, added some 2 hole steel wheels, scratch built carrier reefer unit and fuel tank, then took a stab at weathering. Here is the end result. I hope to get some shots outside in the daylight eventually. Thanks for looking!
tbill Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 great job on the wheathering, underside looks terrific as well.
kilrathy10 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Looking awesome....I really like the weathering you've done....To me, it looks spot on....I don't know why I don't have one of these....

Rob Hall Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Great build..very realistic detailing and weathering.
asfastasu Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Obviously a single exhaust stacked truck has towed that trailer for the bulk of its` life. Very nice job!!
KJ790 Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Thanks guys, I have started working on a white freightliner COE to pull it. I am updating it to an early 80's model right after freightliner branched off from white. I am also working on a late 80's freightliner FLA with square headlights and different grille.
Trailking120 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) KJ This trailer came out great and the weathering really brings it to life. It will great with 49 pulling it. Please bring it to Fulton. Edited November 21, 2013 by Trailking120
kingiguana Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Nice weathering, just one nit pick,...the tires need some sanding of the tread. Great work though, just needs a tractor hooked up now.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 This is very nice! My father was a truck driver when I was growing up...mid 70s to late 80s, I remember when he would park his truck in front of the house with one of these reefers attached... Made a few neighbors upset and the cops made him move the truck to a nearby shopping center ... Lol
