David G. Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 They look great! Are they scratch-built or built from kits? Are the wood? David G.
Shardik Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Very nice! As I looked at the first picture, I began composing a (polite) critique regarding the lack of rigging and control cables*...Then I looked at the second picture . I am extremely impressed with the detail you have achieved at this scale. This grouping really exemplifies what I love about the fighter planes of The Great War. You can build a dozen examples of the same type and no two of them need look anything alike. Incedently, have you read Bloody April by Peter Hart? It's a fascinating book about the air war over Arras in 1917, filled with first hand accounts in the form of after action reports and letters home from the pilots and ground personell. I highly recomend it. *By the way, I raise tarantulas so if you want some material to take care of that rigging issue... Edited November 10, 2013 by Shardik
Jim B Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Nice looking Jagdstaffeln you have going there. What scale are they (besides small)?
mustang1989 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 That .................is friggin cool!!! Way to go!!!
DPNM Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I just came across these. AWESOME. Excellent work for the size. Beautiful job. I had a board game "back in the day" that these would look cool for (they look close to the same size but I don't have the game to compare it to). http://www.ebay.com/itm/American-Heritage-DogFight-World-War-1-game-1963-Milton-Bradley-/221339192162?pt=Games_US&hash=item3388d80b62
