Mike Kucaba Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 All the new kits out and proposed has me overwhelmed! Heck I haven't even bought the '48 Ford custom, any of those midjets etc. I have so many kits now I could build for a 100 years LOL !!
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'm still catching up on releases from years ago.
bbowser Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Yes, but what a great position to be in. I think the hobby is healthier than it has been in a long time, which is good for us!
High octane Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'm overwhelmed by my stash. I've bought very few new releases. Lately, I only buy the kits that I have a lot of interest in that I know will have a chance of getting built. I'm with you on that as my "stash" is plenty big and I'm trying to buy LESS and build MORE.
Mike Kucaba Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Whew!! I feel somewhat better now. Maybe it was my medication wearing off.
martinfan5 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I am with all the new releases from Aoshima , its hitting the bank account hard
Craig Irwin Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 There hasn't been much that i've been interested in or didn't allready have in my stash. I'm OK with that, let others have their turn.
Agent G Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'm with you on that as my "stash" is plenty big and I'm trying to buy LESS and build MORE. Ditto X2 G
Chris White Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Nah, I am lovin it. I feel like a kid again staring up at that big isle of models. Funny, I think still think I have about as much money as I did back then.......none !!!! Edited November 10, 2013 by Chris White
Ramfins59 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I know I'll probably catch all he** for saying this,,,,,, but no one says that you have to buy every new kit that comes out..!!!
Rob Hall Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) It's all good...I have a few Revell and Round 2 releases that I'm looking forward to before the end of the year, plus some from Aoshima, Fujimi and Tamiya. And then in 2014 more to look forward to from these plus Moeibus.. Edited November 10, 2013 by Rob Hall
LDO Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I think it is ***awesome*** that there will be a 1/32 Horten 229 and 1/32 Do-335.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I know I'll probably catch all he** for saying this,,,,,, but no one says that you have to buy every new kit that comes out..!!! WHAT!! Heresy, H E R E S Y I tell you! You guys are digging' the automotive stuff comin' out - and ya should - just follow the aircraft scene for a while! I dismiss armor outright to keep my head from exploding, but the ICM vehicle kits give you some idea what's going on there. Overwhelmed... and lovin' it.
KingSix Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Not really.. I'm to busy trying to catch up with the older kits.. most of the stuff that's considered "new release" doesn't really interest me.. I'd almost rather see re-issues of older, rare subjects, cleaned up and put back out there than new releases. Just my 2 cents .. ( one caveat , the Moebius '56 300 will rate at least 3 in my stash ..) Edited November 10, 2013 by KingSix
Tom Geiger Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Any body else feel overwhelmed by all the new releases? It's actually a pretty good problem to have! I'd much rather have this problem than the opposite! I pretty much ignore rereleases since I have most of them from previous releases. With new releases, I buy what I can when I can. If it's a new tool, they're not gonna run it just once. It'll be back, or I'll see it at a swap meet when I have the change.
Dragline Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The stash groweth. Should we ALL live long enough to build them all. Bob
wisdonm Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Actually, there is nothing there that I want to get.
wheaton79chris Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 My stash takes up TOO much room to get anything else in the closet. LOL. I guess I will work until I'm down to a handful of kits and then check out new releases
lordairgtar Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 By the time my bank account allows me to get the latest releases, those releases will be expensive collector priced kits.
tabsscale1 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 All the new kits out and proposed has me overwhelmed! Heck I haven't even bought the '48 Ford custom, any of those midjets etc. I have so many kits now I could build for a 100 years LOL !! Nope Not any more Set My mind on what I want to build and if it don't fit that critireaI don't buy it. As of right now have been selling all my kits that don't fit in
slusher Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 l have enjoyed the new releases and my stash keeps growing as long as l have thos 40 percent off coupons at hobby lobby. lts a great time to be a model builder...
PappyD340 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Overwhelmed and underfunded, the story of my life!!!
Bennyg Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 We're in a golden age in a way. Keen to get building again now I'm on a study break. Just finished my exams. Start study again in February/march 2014. Recently ordered a tamiya laferrari and have a revell 458 Italia in the stash. Had it in the stash for over 2 years. Plan to finish my tamiya carrera gt before starting laferrari, plus I just got a moebius prostar. Better get building..... Ben
