58 Impala Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) Ive been a member of this forum for quite a while. Finally got a decent camera. I built Dragula pretty much from what was in the kit. It's painted with Model master and Krylon paints with 2part automotive clear. I used MAS photo etch front wheels/tires, the rear slicks are from Competition Resin. I didnt like the kit's exhaust so I made custom pipes from 3/32 aluminum tubing and polished them. Thanks for looking. Edited February 6, 2014 by 58 Impala
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Man, your paint looks great and your pipes and PE wheels really bring it to life. Nice work sir.
disabled modeler Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Love it!!!...The Munsters cars were always a favorite of mine...very nice work!
Helix Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Very nice indeed Tom, Will never forget the Munster's episode this car featured in, very funny !
Belugawrx Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Man that casket should be in a showroom looks real!! Great job on the pipes, did you use solder inside for bends? Like it
Ramcharger Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I think that is the best build up of the Dragula I have ever seen!
Roncla Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Thats very well done. Nothing brings a kit with plastic wire wheels to life more than substituting them with p/e or hand laced wires.
realgone58 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Very nice! Nice shine on the gold body, and great work on the pipes!
grayghost Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) That is one cool ride. Love the mods. Edited February 6, 2014 by grayghost
58 Impala Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Man that casket should be in a showroom looks real!! Great job on the pipes, did you use solder inside for bends? Like it Thanks for all the comments. Bruce I put a piece of 1/16 aluminum rod where the bends are to keep from collapsing.
Pro Tech Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hi Tom, glad to see you got the pic thing going and look forward to seeing more of your excellent builds . Guys I've seen this in person and Tom did an awesome job on it and ya gotta love those pipes . Keep em coming Tom.
am73grand Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 That is gorgeous. The pipes and front wheels really bring that build to life.
vintagedragcrazy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 WOW !!!!!!!!!! that has to be the best looking build of dragula ever you should be proud of it. VINCE
