Nice job. Where are the tires from?

Those tires came out of the parts bin and could be 20 yrs old!!

I know the wheels came out of the AMT 79 Firebird kit (the one with the full rollcage??)

Joe

Jim

Oscar Yup they had to be done

I really like the sunset photo of the model.

Phil Tell me your not opening a beer tomorrow (Sunday @ 7:00 am)!!?

Bill Yup fell in love with the E bodies @ 8 yrs old (1970)

True racing bodies and engines

I did not step on it! Although it was almost there

The problem was not taking all variables into account during paint

Put it in my LEARNED file .... ( more like my SCHOOLED!! file) Laff haha

I am building that car now. The detail on the chassis will send me back to upgrade mine.

Nice build. Thanks for the inspiration.

Need to update this one to put an end to this challenge....

I'm sure we have all had builds like this. Where nothing seems to come together as planned,

paint foul ups, final assembly woes, lost or broken parts, etc., but we persevere and,....

Finally we have it under glass post-11948-0-01042700-1393531220_thumb.j

and into the display case it goes.

BIG TIP- make sure there are low voltage lights in your display case above your newest completion!

Great job of making lemonade out of lemons!! Very constructive way to keep from stepping on it and giving it a proper burial. It looks great and comes with a cool story! Good job.
