Chuck Doan Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Super clean building-definitely correct Registered Texaco rest rooms!
Repstock Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 I'm taking a short break from this project and actually building a car. In the meantime, I built two Engine testers, one of which will be in my Texaco station.
GLMFAA1 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 OMG this work is amazing, The Sun machines are great, I wonder how many here remember a dwell tach? greg
gasser59 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 OMG Tom. Those Sun machines are amazing. Big fan of your work.

ouel88 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Wow! Not much else to say...just WOW! Very impressive.
DR JAY Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I learned scope diagnostics as an apprentice on a machine like that. You do outstanding work...
SlotDaddy1963 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hi Tom, Just out of curiosity, will this masterpiece have both a self service and full service island? I love the tile and wainscoting in the restrooms. The towel rollers really set the whole thing back in time! Looking awesome!!!
gordon Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Always nice to have the real building to work from, photos, measurements and permission. The design is quite classic as there were a few of these 'gas stations' here where I live, all gone now. The roof is a point where most diorama builders go astray, but you have nailed it. Keep going, this is going to be great. Cheers Eh!
Mark B Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Incredible build all around- very inspiring!! I have to build another model of Sun engine testor for my project as well- you've set the bar pretty high for that one; now I have to make that piece a project all to itself! Mark
LongRoofNut Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 WOW! Getting better and better every time I come back to this thread.
misterNNL Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Incredible realism in every item! Please consider doing some tutorials for the pump handles and the roll up doors. Thanks for sharing.
Tom Geiger Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Wow Tom! That floor plan and facade is the same as the Getty station my family once owned! That one probably started out as a Texaco station.
GLMFAA1 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Have you done any work or completed this masterpiece? I bet you are going to make the bell work greg Edited January 16, 2015 by GLMFAA1
Repstock Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Have you done any work or completed this masterpiece? I bet you are going to make the bell work greg Thank you! I haven't worked on it since the last pictures. I've done a few cars, and I've completed plans for the Rockford Files trailer. The Texaco station needs work on the roof sections, there is much painting involved, and my garage (I have no paint booth) is really cold right now. The station is so large that a base is out of the question right now. If my kids eventually find residences of their own, I'll take over the basement and finish all the buildings I've started. When it warms up, I'll get back on this and at least get the building done.
