I think a lot of people dream about owning a 1932 Ford.

I built a replica of the 1932 Ford, just the way I dream about.

It's almost all box stock, I only kitbashed the wheels and tires from the AMT 1934 Ford coupe, as they look better than the ones that come with the kit, and use the standard Firestones AMT uses on '50s and '60s cars.

Sorry Hot Rod crew, but for me a 1932 Ford has to be kept intact, just like Uncle Henry made it.

Thanks for looking!!

Very nicely done and SO refreshing to see one stock - probably more rare in scale than in the real world. The wheel and tyre swap improved the look 100%.

That is just Awesome.

On a side not I have a 29 Model A roadster pickup I restored myself the engine paint I used is the ford factory color. I use it on all my ford models now

it is spot on original you can get it from Macs antique auto parts.

All in all a very beautiful 32....

Thank you gentlemen!!

Hey, you have any more '32s? That is wonderful!

More, more, please!!

Terry

I have more two, being one a diecast three window coupe from Franklin Mint.

The remaining Ford is a roadster, the Monogram Classic Cruiser kit, and was quite a disappointment.

I bought it expecting to find parts for a stock build, and only found parts to build a Hot Rod, and the only engine was a Scrub V8. replaced that by a 312 V8 from a Monogram Thunderbird kit, and kind of just threw the parts together as I don't enjoy building Hot Rods much.

Beautiful work, Tulio.

How did you do the gold pinstripe?

Tamiya masking tape and Testors gold airbrushed in very light thin coats.

It got a little thin on spots after I waxed the car. The Testors gold is more fragile than I thought.

For a kit consistently criticized for being so off, it doesn't look that bad at all, assuming the Franklin Mint car is right.

Mine's only a four-cylinder, but let's go for a tour...

Completed in 2010, the first time I finished something since high school...

Nowhere nice as yours, but still something that makes me smile every time I look at it on the desk.

Nice looking Model B!!

The color choices are very tasteful.

On general proportions, I'would say the AMT looks more "right" than the FM. The worse part of the AMT are the wheels, and the sectioned body. Other than that, it's pretty good.
