Kennyboy Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That is going to look amazing sitting on your 1:1 at car shows!! Great job John!
oldscool Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I have been watching your progress without commenting because i wanted to wait until you were finished. I am a Mopar fanatic who judges Mopar models with a very critical eye and your model is darn near perfect. Bravo sir!
PappyD340 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 WOW, that looks just like the real deal John, EXCELLENT job, looks great!!
o-man Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 All your efforts were well worth the final outcome, great job!
jeffs396 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That's one to be proud of John! Love how you did the side marker lights...It's great having a faithful replica of your 1:1 I'm sure it'll be a big hit at the show today, hope you bring it next year too!
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Very nice John! I've always been partial to the '68-'69 Baracudas vs. the later years. I only wish some one would have done a notch back version. Excellent job!! Steve
FASTBACK340 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Thank you everyone for the compliments! It was obviously a special build for me and for the most part, I'm pleased with the outcome. I had it on the table no more than 10 minutes when I found one of those slips everyone loves to see: Please bring your model to the Model Cars Magazine photo booth! Who knows, maybe in a few months when the coverage of NNL East comes out…. I saw people around it all day and was thoroughly flattered by the attention it received. Now that the replica is done, I can go out and get the real one out of storage and start enjoying the cruise season.
The70judgeman Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great looking build John. Where did you get the rear tires?
FASTBACK340 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Great looking build John. Where did you get the rear tires? Fireball models, owned by forum member Chief Joesph, has the drag radials.
6bblbird Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I saw the car at the NNL East today. Looks even better in person! WF
