crazyjim Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 It's an un-gasser because it used to be a gas coupe but has been converted to street use. It has full leaf springs in the rear and a Mopar torsion bar front suspension. Paint is HOK magenta kandy over cinder red.
Burnout Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 That is beautiful CJ! I like everything about it but the paint and wheels really stand out.
crazyjim Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Thank you Ken. I'm pretty sure the wheels/tires are from the Revell '32 5 window coupe kit.
crazyjim Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 You got it, Ed. Just need to put some cheater slicks on it.
Harry P. Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Real nice! The paint is beautiful! Dang, you sure build fast! It seems like you're posting a new model every day or two...
rustybill1960 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 WOW Jim! That is Super Cool! Beautiful Color! I really like the suspension work You did. I have an old kit waiting to be re-built, was gonna go Gasser, but, hmmmmmm Thank You for sharing Later Russ
TooOld Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Really nice Jim ! I like the Un - gasser idea and your Henry J really fits with the new suspension fitted to it ! Nice work .
crazyjim Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Thank you Harry. I usually have 3 builds going on at the same time. Thank you Ray. Street is Neat, Russ and thank you. Plus you get to do something different with a kit that's supposed to be a gas coupe. Thanks Bob. hard to believe, but the frame needed just a little filing for that Mopar suspension to fit like glove.
Mackvision Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Wow! that's a "bitchin" paint job! very nice work!..........................Mark
charlie8575 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Pretty color, nice build up on what can be a very tough kit. I still would like a stock Henry J that will allow you to build almost anything you like. Charlie Larkin
slusher Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Super cool street rod Jim. Great paint and detail. Color makes me think of HOK blood red...
