Saw a rusty but straight blue-green '71 4- door Matador parked on the street with a two page typed for sale ad in the window- 21,000 miles owned by a local widow who drove it to church etc.. Asking price was $2500

While going to help my buddy load a Sea Scooter ( the first personal water craft) to sell at Hersey I spotted his new 48 Studebaker Champion . It goes well with his 49 Champion and his 60's Lark Pickup.

Saw a cream w/ black roof '50-51 Chevy Bel Air hardtop, very clean. Also saw a late model Tahoe in bright red w/ yellow Ferrari fender badges and one on the tailgate...must be a tifosi.

Saw an absolutely astonishingly beautiful, perfect in every detail, restored '54 Hudson coupe (deep metallic green) in north Phoenix. Also a faded yellow survivor '70 Montego 4dr and a dark metallic red 2000+ Thunderbird that was immaculate. Just drivin' around, all three of them.

That was definitely a Tucker.

Maybe.... there is a company in New Jersey, IDA Automotive that made some pretty realistic Tucker replicas on Cadillac chassis!

Saw this one on our little jaunt to Delaware yesterday. A Ford Flex woody complete with surfer decals on the side glass! The license plate read "PILE IN". No doubt an available aftermarket kit, but it looked soooo good!

We were out for a drive looking at cars yesterday and this one was at a dealership. I have no idea how many miles or how much they are asking since the dealer was closed. But it is my favorite little bugger, a much newer Tracker than mine, and in my favorite color!

I've always thought, from the first time I saw the Ford Flex, it needed a wood grained "Country Squire" option package. It's ugly. But, I think it would sell. Ford is missing the boat on this one.

I've only seen a few Tucker's at shows but seeing one on the road must be incredable, truly amazing cars

Odds are it was a copy, not a real one.

Remember, they made a bunch of fakes for the movie "Tucker," so it's possible this one was also a clone.

Kind of like with Cobras, but with much smaller volume... I figure if I see a '60s style Cobra roadster 99% of the time it's a replica, unless I'm at an event like Barrett-Jackson (lots of replicas there too, though) or the Coronado Festival of Speed or Pebble Beach.

I think I've only seen two Tuckers in person, both were at auctions (RM).

I saw the Tucker that's part of the Smithsonian collection. Apparently the US government confiscated this one in a federal case.

There was a Tucker at "World Of Wheels" here in Milwaukee a number of years ago. It even still had the original fitted Tucker luggage too. I think I may have a picture or two(not digital) in a photo album.

Did they Harry? I always heard that they got almost every real Tucker still out there to appear in that movie. The only fake Tucker in the movie I knew of was the car they used in the roll over scene. From my understanding that was a Studebaker dress up to look like a Tucker. There were fake parts sitting in the factory next to the assembly line. But, I know of no out right fake Tuckers made for that movie. On this I maybe wrong. I'd like to see some evidence of this if I am wrong.

I still have my 2002 turbo road / race car but it's not been on the road for years 'cos life got in the way. I keep dreaming, for me it's the perfect car! I drove various '02s as daily drivers with a bit of club racing thrown in for over 25 years. :)

There were some fakes. At the Glenmoor Gathering there was one there that was basically a fiberglass body on a GM chassis. It had no interior but a seat and steering wheel. I'm guessing it was for the movie.

Yes, they made a few like that for the movie.
