Construction detour on the way home from work took me past a self-storage place I forgot even existed. This clean old-lady-Olds was parked out front. I don't think I've seen one this well-preserved since junior high (mid '90's).

While I was not a fan at all of this era of styling from Olds, I gotta say that is super squeaky clean! Not sure of the  year (1989-90?), but 25+ years later the looks have grown on me. I've said before in other threads........don't be surprised to start seeing more and more of this era of car turn up at the 1:1 car shows in a few short years.

Started a different thread on this one because it was so unusual but thought I would add it here also just because it is something you will never see anywhere else, ever.   Batman broke down on the side of the road!

No, I don't think so.  I suspect it is a custom build.  Not sure what the base is.   I have seen this driving around before.  I think the guy uses it to earn a few bucks doing special events.  A couple of years ago, I saw it in my neighborhood at a birthday party, giving rides.

There already are! A few summers ago I walked right past a row of first-gen Camaros and Mustangs to check out a pristine '85 Plymouth Voyager. :)

I love seeing odd regular cars at car shows.Pintos,Vega's,station wagons,70s-90s cars.I was at a show last year, and someone had a mid 80s,Dodge Aries K car.The car had around original 9k on it and it was in absolute showroom condition.80s cars are cool to see, that's when I got into cars.

Saw this '67 or '68 Mustang coupe when we left a restaurant today. Nice & clean.

Three vehicles running a red light.  An F250 pulling a fairly large boat turning left, a black Charger turning left in the opposite direction,  and a black Honduh Element behind the F250, but continuing straight. Honduh got impressively sideways to avoid the invisible  Charger,  but nobody made contact. It was a left turn yield situation,  no green turn arrows.

And you didn't stop to lend your assistance? I know he would if he saw you in peril!:D

No way in heck was I stopping at that point on the freeway!  That is the worst place possible that he stopped.  It is an exit with two exit lanes and it is the common practice to weave out of the left lane of the exit to stay on the freeway and cars frequently drive at freeway speed into the overrun that Batman was parked on.  You are a target parked there.  I have to believe he had no choice there.  Just up the ramp are three gas stations with plenty of places to park a disabled car.

Photoshopped - look at the back seat.

No Photo shop on this one! I took the pic myself.  Why they left the rear-seat back in place I will never know? it would look a lot cooler with a corvette-style valence/cover there behind the front  seats.

I agree. I can't figure out why someone would leave just the seat back in place after doing all that custom work.

'60 Lark more-door... I've seen it driving around town and I caught up with it today and found out it's for sale. I need to see if I have a couple grand in my sofa...

For about the same price the guy was also selling a clean Porsche... dirt cheap because it needs an ECU. I gawked at it, but the whole time I was thinking of the old saying "Nothing is more expensive than a cheap German car..." Sure is a looker though, even if it's not a "real" Porsche... I'm guessing?

And after all that excitement, I went home with a '46 Michigan Noiseless 75 mower, manufactured by REO Motors in Lansing. It still works just fine, but the "Noiseless" part of the name is pure nonsense. :)

Every time I see one of these, the first thing that comes to mind is "wreck"! I was in a car accident in this thing as a kid in the later '60's. Not a serious accident, but enough that my Uncle who was driving (his may have been a '59) had to fight the steering wheel as the car I think had a bent frame. He hit a parked, late '50's Chrysler or Desoto (I don't remember which as it was a green four door with big fins on it). ALL of us in the back seat ended up on the floor (no seat belts on those cars in those days).

No one was hurt, but you know you're in a world of hurt when you run into someone's car right in front of their house, and the owner is sitting there right on the porch! :P

No camera unfortunately, but I saw a nice black 1933 Ford at the Dig-In Cafe in Augusta, MI. I had a nice chat with the couple driving it.
