Well... a parking lot is sort of a road. We were out at Montauk yesterday and right next to where we ate was a boat yard.

We got to watch this large boat being picked up and moved for winter storage.

Another sighting, this time heading to the graveyard. I was just visiting, no intentions of staying.

these have been outside of a warehouse by my work for a while now.  yesterday i noticed they moved them to the other side of the warehouse where they were visible.

under the cover behind the impala is another impala of unknown year (65-68 based off the fastback silhouette).  and unphotographed was a mid 70's Trans AM under a cover behind the Duster.

Going to the "Toy Show" I saw a modified school bus towing a late-model wedge style dirt-track racer. The bus had the forward half section of the roof raised for better headroom. They were headed north on I-77, not sure where they could be headed.

Here is on, and OFF the road in one!  And not just any car. 😳  It's at the top of Yarnell Hill on 89, going down this curve is almost a negative camber, plus a naturally squirrelly car, another Cobra was with them.  Driving with idiots on the road too doesn't 't help.

My brother spied this the other day, only $13,500 and it can be yours!

I would so spend $13,500 for it. Can’t beat a ‘59 Ford. Like how its not the skyliner, just the regular hard top.

Went away for the weekend, saw some nice Ford cars, a '64 Galaxie, '63 Thunderbird, and a circa '76 Lincoln Continental. The Thunderbird was for sale and I had seen the ad on marketplace since last fall. It really is a nice car, not sure why it's having a tough sell. Was $17,900 initially I believe, but now it's down to $9,000.

Also saw this wrecked '69 Fury. Couldn't get a photo so this is a screenshot from google maps from July 2025. There was also what appeared to be a '69 Chrysler two-door in similar (worse maybe) shape that wasn't there in July 2025, so no pic of that.

Hmmm..either it was very rusty underneath and split naturally or when someone tried moving it, or when it was still driveable someone was playing Dukes of Hazzard... ;)

Saw a '55 Century for sale; was parked out there last year about this time though wasn't for sale then. Had to get a closer look this time. Apparently, according to some words on the for sale sign, it's been a one owner car for 40 years. Definitely shows it's age but wow it'd be nice to clean up and take to a show. My dad actually remembers the car from the college parking lot back in the late 80s. Says he might have a black and white photo (or at least the negative film) of the car he took for some obscure photo assignment back in around '87-89. Would be neat to see.

This was technically on the side of the road out east from us.

The Big Duck. It has been moved around the Island and this is the final nesting spot for it. It was almost scrapped at one point in time.

That's one lucky ducky not to be scrapped. Glad to see they didn't destroy.

The Century model was Buicks "Hot Rod" of the day. They used the lighter weight Super body, and the higher horsepower rated engine from the Roadmaster series. Except for what looks like a rust bubble on the lower right side of the hood the body looks very presentable.
