Mercedes W208 CLK430 convertible. But something's missing. 20250204_125429.jpg.20120cae6832bb4251f45f4a9bb8f2ff.jpg

In the UK they steal number plates to put on stolen cars and carry out all manner of trouble!

While I see your point with the snow and all, but often the drivers don't look out the back window on a clear day. Beyond the dangers of limited visibility, the wind can blow off chunks of the snow from the trunk and at hi way speeds even damage windshields of cars following not to mention the loss of the following cars visibility.

Have they not got heated rear screens? In the UK it would be a bust! Plus part of the number plate covered up!

It doesn't look "bad",  the 'Bird just looks wrong on a truck, and the gold tow ball, really. Look close, even the hitch is gold. And it's probably a v6.

And it’s a Ford; a GMC or a Chevy would make more sense.

last weekend near Clinton. MO fender badge says it is an F-5. No evidence there was a seat, but then again the floor was rusted tread/ diamond plate instead of original steel.

That's not bad at all, the two tone and black bumpers. Never knew this existed. Similar to the little red express dodge had.

After looking at that interior picture, It does appear to have been a stand=up while driving set-up.

Old delivery or mail truck perhaps?

Here we call them rear window defoggers, usually. While most cars have had them for some time, it would take more than a few minutes to melt that snow load and by then this DA would be at highway speeds and the snow covering the rear window would start flying off and onto any following cars. Not sure if these people are just lazy or really don't give a care for anyone else in the world.

Saw this at my local Walmart this morning.

I would expect nowhere else.  Instead of "peopleofwalmart.com" should we start a "parkinglotofwalmart.com" website?

Almost got run over by a Tesla pick up a couple of days ago in the Costco parking lot. They say black is supposed to make you look slimmer, even the black paint couldn't help how this thing looked to me anyway. I'm thinking someone with a background in making HVAC sheet metal ducts may have found another industry to use their experience in.

Ran across this decent '55 Packard sitting in an industrial area. Looks like the old girl was well kept at some point, the interior is quite nicely preserved. Something like this I'd own if it could be bought right. Spot in the hood & fender, give the car a good detail & drive it as is. At least until the Ultramatic transmission lays an egg. The VW's were in a neighborhood I was passing through.

those rocker panels, lower fenders and quarters on the Packard make me want to get it on a lift to check out the chassis before committing to buying it. that said the topside does look pretty solid.

Just typical surface rust of a Packard of this era. I looked it over real good. The torsion ride suspension needs work but parts are available, I did a bunch of work on a '56 Four Hundred hardtop years ago, great road car and this car has the advantage of a traditional column shift instead of the problem laden push button shifter that usually needs rebuilt. I've about talked myself into checking on it next time I'm over that way- if it's still there.

Saturday:  Passed a really nice 68 Camaro RS hardtop while riding in my friend's Cougar XR-7G, also a really nice red 66 Mustang hardtop going the other way.

My friend had his latest flip car parked in his driveway:  A Maserati convertible, not sure of year or model but it looked really nice.

i saw a silver Pontiac Solstice with red racing stripe down the center being driven by a women with the back of her hands tattooed like a skeletons hand.  sounded like it had aftermarket exhaust.  it was interesting to say the least.

This just makes me feel older.  I had an '87 Civic, this is the next generation, and it has a Historic Vehicle plate!  That's just wrong man! 🙄

Snapped this close to where I turn off this highway, temporary plate.  Does anyone have a median that is this huge?
