Tom Geiger Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 On my way home tonight I was passing a trailer load of new Mercedes and I noticed a gray SLC350 on the bottom row. Then I noticed that the front left fender was dented in! Somebody is in trouble!
drball Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Technically I did not see them on the road since they were parked in our town park for a concurs event, nonetheless, I got to see an Enzo, a Porsche 918 and a Veyron upclose.
Jantrix Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Boy did I find the mother load today. The limo was in front of a local garage and is in rear bad shape. The rest are in a place called Lincoln Land in Clearwater FL.
Jantrix Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Check the sports car in the back. I stared at this for a good ten minutes before the proprietor let the cat out of the bag. It's a Bangert Manta Ray. My brief research leads me to believe there were a few released as kits, and a few more as production cars. It's on a Maserati chassis and originally came with an early hemi, which is sadly missing. Pretty cool find. http://www.forgottenfiberglass.com/fiberglass-car-marques/bangert/the-bangert-manta-ray-limited-only-by-the-builders-imagination-motor-life-july-1955/ Edited February 12, 2015 by Jantrix
Belugawrx Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Wow you got n eyeful that day All I'm seeing these days are salt covered 4x4's and snowplows
Rob Hall Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 This week on my commute I've seen a black Ferrari 456 parked at the end of a driveway w/ For Sale signs. It's not very often I see a Ferrari parked out w/ For Sale signs...
The70judgeman Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 For the last few weeks I've seen a silver car around town in different places not too far from home. I didn't recognize the grille emblem at all and to me it looked European. Turns out, it's a Tesla S. Not a bad looking car though.
Joe Handley Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 A Superduty based tow truck dragging a Smart Car behind it.
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) Saw this back in October probably, before the leaves had fallen. Forgot about it until I was going thru some shop / build photos. Edited February 15, 2015 by Ace-Garageguy
Crazy Ed Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Saw this tooling along on I-10 headed East at 100! Trouble was the Speed Limit is 125 (Kph - 75mph). Well given they're here all the way from Augsberg Germany (well at least that's where the Auto Dealer it was purchased from was located) I suppose I can cut'em some slack. I'd never seen one of these before. It's a Ford Transit L.
Rob Hall Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Neat...that reminds me of a few years ago when I saw a German-plated older Mercedes T-series camper van (Sprinter predecessor) in a Scottsdale parking lot. I suppose it was German tourists that shipped it over for an extended road trip vacation around the US...it was also yellow.
Tom Geiger Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 It had to be at least 10 years ago, I spotted a Fiat motor home on the highway on my way home from work one evening. I later saw it parked in a supermarket parking lot so I got to talk with them. It was a family from Italy spending 6 months in the USA. Takes a lot of guts to ship your Fiat motor home to a foreign country and depend on it for six months, without a spare part in the entire country!
W-409 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I saw this Chevy Impala on Friday. It was very nice to see a real car instead of just those egg-shaped plastic things.
Jaguar man 21 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Not today but I keep seeing three different aventadors around the area i live newest being a black roadster, I've also saw two new s class coupes
Jaguar man 21 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 And that's an awsome transit, not the coolest though can't go wrong with an xj220 transit
Crazy Ed Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 On my way home I had to stop while "traffic" figured out which side of the Road they were going to gather on.
Belugawrx Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 That's cool Ed.... Geez I need a vacation
Joe Handley Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 A Honda Accord with a grenaded ball boint on the side of I-88.
Crazy Ed Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 That's cool Ed.... Geez I need a vacation I'm always on one. Here's "Casa Loco" and a few of our Neighbors.
Tom Geiger Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) That's pretty amazing country Ed! And those are good neighbors. It's a funny thing, when I've been out in Denver or Salt Lake City, you always see the mountains and are in awe, but the locals don't seem to even notice. Then a friend of mine put it in perspective... I used to live at the NJ Shore, in fact drove along the coast for a bit on my daily commute. And yes, I didn't even look half the time. Here's my back yard and a few of my neighbors enjoying our Halloween pumpkin. The lookout only has one horn. These two are around all the time. Photo from my kitchen window. Rob Hall Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 There is a Sinclair gas station I drive by everyday on the commute and this morning they had their bay doors open, saw a black 48-49 Cadillac and a gold early C3 Corvette convertible inside.

Jon Cole Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Leaving the filling station today, I see a Chevy pickup on a side road. "Like A Rock" must refer to what must have landed on it at some point. I don't think the snow did that!
