Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Some will remember this old build '57 Chevrolet Bel Air. The kit is one of my favorites, the Revell-Monogram 1:12 scale. The tires are from the old issue Monogram, as the ones Revell included were unusable (were in fact the stock tires from the '69 Camaro kit, and wouldn't accept the white wall inserts). The paint is Tamiya TS-14 black, and I used a lot of spray cans on this baby... Not to mention an entire envelope of BMF... I think my greatest wish in model wise is a 1:12 scale kit of the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria. I would probably sell all my kits and only build 1:12 Club Vickys for the rest of my life More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr More Bel Air Shots by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
StevenGuthmiller Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Great work Tulio! I'll bet I've got 5 of these kits lying around that I've never built. Always had good intentions but I think subconsciously I always had "display restrictions" in the back of my mind! Great job! Steve
Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 Great work Tulio! I'll bet I've got 5 of these kits lying around that I've never built. Always had good intentions but I think subconsciously I always had "display restrictions" in the back of my mind! Great job! Steve Thanks Steve!! Oh My, don't even remember me of the display restrictions... I keep my models, at least most of them inside their original boxes, and this baby, without a box, takes the space of three 1:25 cars. Not to mention I don't have a display box big enough for it. Have to build one with glass. I built one for my Titanic model, and it was a pain.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) WOW!!! Always nice to please the Chevy crew!!! We Ford guys are nice Not to mention I have a Chevy S-10 sitting in my garage... Don't tell anybody tough. Edited July 15, 2014 by Lovefordgalaxie
GMCMAN52 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Tulio, you can use a fish tank to display your 57 Chevy....
Kit Basher Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Wow! That is gorgeous! The paint is amazing. With the right background that would easily pass for a 1:1. Awesome work!
Miatatom Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I had to look twice to be sure it wasn't a 1:1! Great work!
Stretch75 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Beautiful build...I showed my wife the second pic and she thought it was real...nice work man!

FASTBACK340 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'm not a big fan of `57 Chevy's, but that my friend is a spectacular build. Beautiful finish, beautiful assembly. Thank you for sharing!
unclescott58 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 You do Chevys too? And just as nice as your Fords! Scott
