dublin boy Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 This is what's left over depending on what way you build the amt kit. Just a bit of fun.
1930fordpickup Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Looks good. I like the weathering on the paint, not over done.
Maxicoop Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 that's an awesome "T" love the weathering !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TooOld Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Looks great ! I built mine too , the leftovers can be fun !
peter31a Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Sweet weathered T! Straight out of the Great Depression.
Watertown Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Nicely done. I really appreciate the restraint shown with regard to weathering, not so heavy-handed. Great job!
Harry P. Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Shay... maybe a bit of detail on exactly how you got that very realistic look on the weathering?
unclescott58 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 As others have said, very nice and it looks the part. Scott
dublin boy Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Shay... maybe a bit of detail on exactly how you got that very realistic look on the weathering? Many thanks Gentlemen, I think I just got lucky, lol It was painted a very light gold, almost silver, than given some semi gloss black, which was just lightly sanded back, to give it a worn look. Everyone without exception who has actually seen it has said 'It's from the Waltons' The 5 window got similar treatment, sort of a rat rod with new mechanical bits. New paint won't make it go faster, so spend the money on the engine!
peekay Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Nice work! Very convincing weathering - on the rod too.
bbowser Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 That's exactly what I thought! John-boy, get over here and help me unload this wood. Nice work.
carrucha Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Nice job. The weathering really gives the model "personality".
