bbowser Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The latest in my "classic" phase, got the Monogram kit off ebay. I'm pretty happy with it, the engine is more detailed than I expected. An iconic car that was so far ahead of it's time. Comments appreciated, thanks for looking!
Harry P. Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 That's a beauty! I love seeing the classics posted here... they just don't make cars like that anymore. Just a little tip... shoot some Dull-Cote on that top...
wayne swayze Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Looks great...even with the top in the up position. Nice job on a classic!
Sixties Sam Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Nice job! Great classic car. That kit dates way back, but still makes a nice model. Sam
peter31a Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Nice clean build of an iconic automobile. Love Cords and you did a great job with this one.
sjordan2 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Excellent job. Very tricky to put chrome on the nose/sides.
bbowser Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Thanks everyone for all the kind comments. I really need to scrutinize more before I post, I didn't notice the gap on the chrome hood trim pieces until now - I'll have to fix that! And the top is not nearly as shiny as it looks in that pic, Harry. It must be the reflection of the flash?
unclescott58 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 The '37 Cord is still (to me at least) the prettiest car ever designed. And the old Monogram Cord is still a very nice kit. And you did a great job building your's Bruce. Scott

bbowser Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 Are you talking about the chrome panels around the exhausts? Yes, I can adjust them a bit to remove that gap at the front I think.
