Mach1revo Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Moebius Hudson Hornet. Just about done. Just needs final cleaning and radio antenna installed. Had to make a new one. Paint is Tamiya xf-21 Sky and xf-2 white. Dupont clear. Interior is Testors enamel flat green and Tamiya xf-2 white. All the chrome is Alclad and trim is BMF.
Mach1revo Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Since i didnt do a work in progress post here are a few more pics. I added throttle linkages and return springs, fuel lines , heater line , plug wires, masking tape belt , battery cables, and brake lines at the wheels. I also added valve stems to the wheels.
Harry P. Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 That is absolutely spectacular! Beautiful in every detail!
Monty Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm still trying to wrap my head around that color being referred to as "sky", but what a period-perfect shade. My compliments also on your engine detailing as well as your BMF & Alclad work. I hope we'll see more from you soon.
Mach1revo Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Thanks guys!!! Monty im not sure where that color name came from. I know its used in the interior of Tamiyas JGSDF light armored vehicle which is why i originally bought it. When i got the Hudson kit the paint was still on my workbench and i just had to use it.
Harry P. Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm still trying to wrap my head around that color being referred to as "sky"... I was wondering about that, too. Figured it was a typo, but if not, that's a pretty odd "sky" color!
Harry P. Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Maybe the sky is green in Japan? Regardless of what they call that color, it looks perfect on a '50s era car.
