High octane Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 My 17 month old grandson came over and we got to play together as well as "roughhouse" also. He's quite the character.
cobraman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Good report from the doctor yesterday for my 3 month check up. Still need to drop about another 15 pounds but looks like I will live for now. : )

oldnslow Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Sure beats the heck out of the alternative!
crazyjim Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 You gotta stick around, Ray. There's more Cobras out there.
cobraman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks guys, you are too kind. You are right about more Cobra's being out there. I started "collecting" about 1994. It really picked up when I discovered ebay in 1999. I never realized there were so many different Cobra's out there. I find new ones all the time.
Roadrunner Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 As I do more of the work around here that I promised to do when I moved in, it keeps my roommate from nagging, and that pleases me,... very much.
unclescott58 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I had a great day yesterday. I worked back at a High School I hadn't worked at this year yet. Worked in the Media Center (that's the library to us older folk) supervising AP study hall. But, I had kids from all over the school stopping by to say hi to me. And telling me how glad they were to see me. Sometimes I wonder if I'm having any impact on the kids I work with. Yesterday I walk out of that school on Cloud 9, knowing I'm having positive impact on the kids in that school. And I hadn't seen serveral of them in nearly a year. Then I went this month's meeting of the MCCM (Model Car Club of Minnesota). Had a great time there. Got some kits I've been waiting for. And after the meeting, several of us went over to a local restaurant and continued having fun and great discussions about model kits, cars, and other things. Plus a lot of fun joking and bantering. All-in-all, it was a very good day. I'm not big into religion, but I do have thank God for days like that. By the way, today has not been as rewarding or fun as yesterday. But you know, it's still been pretty darn good. Need to thank God again. Scott
High octane Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I thank God for everyday, even the bad ones as I know someone else had a worse day than I did.
cobraman Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I checked and it looks like the yellow paint on my 53 Studebaker is finally dry ! : )
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 9 day vacation starts tomorrow! Listening to The Beatles and playing Minecraft.
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 So far today I haven't had to talk to a single idiot.
wayne swayze Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I checked and it looks like the yellow paint on my 53 Studebaker is finally dry ! : ) Better give it another week....just in case...haha
cobraman Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 It's been darn near a month ! Actually it still feels a tad tacky or kind of rubbery if that makes sense. Not using this stuff again.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Yellow always seems to take a long time to dry for me. White dries quick, and so does red.
James2 Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 After almost two years of the most frustrating job I have ever had, I start a new position in a couple weeks with a new company and much better situation all the way around. A lot less BS and much better $$.

Ace-Garageguy Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Warm enough to work outside on my old '89 GMC longbed. Might get her to at least fire today.
