Danno Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Niiiice! All we get here in the city is coyotes, occasional javelina, and lots of chihuahuas.
Crazy Ed Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 So, what's the Season and Limit on Chihuahuas? Of all the critters we've had here the most special to watch was a Bobcat "Kitten" learning to hunt with parent ~10 yards off watching from the high grass.
oldnslow Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Wow, Ed, I can see why you keep the plants inside. : ) this is my first year for the bins, but everything looks like it's working pretty well so far. The weather has been great for about a month now, temps during the day into the 80s, so the plants are shooting up. I've already had to top 2 of the tomato plants to keep them in the cages I made. They're chest high, (I'm 6'2") and full of blooms and fruit.

I can't move my "Planter" (pics to follow), I tried to grow cherry tomatoes in one of those Baskets with Coconut a Husk liner but it was impossible to give it enough water. Since then I've used trimmed trash bags t line the inside the Coconut husk and used them (4) for growing flowers. Oh yea, I also have a Dwarf Kaffir Lime tree gets hauled in during the Winter and as long as there's no chance of frost lives on the East Porch and a couple of Rosemary plants that stay outside and get trimmed regularly . As to vertical elevation, a week ago I found out at the Doctors Office in the last 30 years I've lost 1 1/2" in height. I'm now 1/2" taller than you are, so we'd see eye to eye! Here's the Garlic "Garden" ~10 days ago And Today
Crazy Ed Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Thanks Ed ! Great pics ! You Are Welcome Ray. I hope the Pics bring a smile to your face.
cobraman Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I have a great fondness of wildlife since I stopped hunting.
Crazy Ed Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I have a great fondness of wildlife since I stopped hunting. Ray I'm thinking When You were Hunting you also had a great fondness for wildlife. If it got to where I needed to "harvest" an Animal for us to survive, well it'd be Animals 0, Us 1 or more if needed. But it wouldn't be easy. Heck here's a Picture taken out our front window - If the window wasn't there I could have petted her!

I know the feeling... I had several minor strokes, or TIA's, back in June of 2000. After almost 3 months in the hospital, and lots of therapy, I went from using a wheelchair, to using a walker, then using a cane, and finally walking on my own. Keep up the great work.
Harry P. Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Got an email from my youngest daughter today. She wants me to move downstate so I would be closer to her and her sister (who both live downstate). Totally out of the blue. But I have to say, I was touched that she wants me to move so I would be closer to her and her sister. Maybe a small thing, but if you're a parent, you understand...
vintagedragcrazy Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Sounds like you will be in the market for a u-haul Harry I know if it was me and my girls did that I'd be packing they sure know how to get you don't they?vince

disabled modeler Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Thank you Rich ?Great to hear your getting better Don...hang in there. After my accident I had to learn how to do somethings over again or new ways to do them so I can kind of relate...be stubborn and persistent it pays off.
MrBuick Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I got a call today that I got a contract gig I've been pining for at a local auction company. I have a regular 9-5 (okay, technically 7-6) as a Senior Systems Administrator but I do a lot of contracting on the side...this one contract should net the same amount of extra income as all of my other side jobs do put together and I'll now be able to start unloading some of the more demanding/annoying/PITA clients and hopefully free up some additional hobby time.
