It’s more of needing to make room for my things and there is no extra space. So in lieu of this stalemate, in my bedroom there is a built-in wall to wall desk with two wall mounted bookshelves. This will become my temporary work space for building models again. The desk top had a 6' crack running through the middle of wood with the grain and needed to be repaired first. I repaired the crack and added wood underneath to scab the crack together making it solid again. I decided to add laminate to the top which in IMO is a great work surface and it's to easy to clean. I'll still use wood to make my cuts on. I still need to clean up the front edge of the desk top and apply a finish, then it will be ready to use. 🤔°° now what to build? I have two stalled projects that has been patiently waiting my return. A pro street vega and pro street hearse. Very Nice Workspace, even if it is not intended to be permanent. I like the Direct Sunlight from the windows. My Vote: Pro Street Hearse. 2 1

A modeler named mike Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Another positive pleasing. Although I'm not done yet due to a thunder storm. I started to pressure wash the concrete driveway that runs from the side of the house out to the double car garage. Man it was filthy! Last time it was done was approximately 5 years ago? Here is what is done so far. I have another 40+feet to go. 6
Rob Hall Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I’ve been enjoying working in my yard this week. Planted a rose bush, more box woods, some azeleas. I definitely need to power wash my driveway and back patio. Don’t know when it was last done. 2
John M. Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I got home from work a half hour or so ago from a long day on the road but TGIF. The school kids have nine days of school left thankfully. After that, A week off and then, the summer camps start. And my 08 Corolla is doing great. 🙂 1
A modeler named mike Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I'm done. The rain stopped and I went back at it again. All that's left to do is let it dry and then seal it. That will be a few days since rain is in our forecast for a couple of days.. 4

But once it's done it so satisfactory. 1
rattle can man Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Vegetable garden weeded and cherries picked. 8 tomato plants I didn't plant, so extra salsa! The downside of the work is now my neck and shoulders say no Friday bench time. 1
meechum68 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I got my office almost rearranged. Gonna sit tomorrow for some bench time. Have to wait on a new piece for my video game side of the office. (Adapter for RCA to HDMI, my CRT tv died so have to go this route for my PS1/PS2.) House got mopped and swept deeply! And I had a good cup of coffee this morning to start the day!

89AKurt Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I've done a few cruises, this is the first legit show, Williams Historic Route 66 Car Show. Because the neighbor left early, I lucked out in getting this Cobra driver to park here. The 'Gumball Rally' stars have aligned. Then they connected with friends and were off. 7
Mike C Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) Here's a follow up from my '64 Dodge 330 on display at the Savoy Auto Museum. A picture along with other models from my club too. Edited June 7 by Mike C 8

Falcon Ranchero Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Took the Highway Star out on its first official cruise, though I got the backseat. Already got lots of looks and comments from people walking or in their vehicles. Parked by the boardwalk after buying some ice cream, and ate in the car. Usually there are some other classics parked down there around that time but not yesterday. Only saw one classic, a '73 Chevelle we drove past. The driver in that car waved too I think. Took some photos of the view from HS. 2
TonyK Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Every time you mention "Highway Star" the song comes to me from the past.....which is a good thing. 3
89AKurt Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Had a great weekend at the Williams Historic Route 66 Car Show. I was not the only Daytona there, this Studebaker with supercharged engine represented very well. They also got the long distance award. Got another 'Gumball Rally' picture. Got man cave bling, the vender just put that out 20 minutes before, when I was thinking of cruising downtown again. Something that pleased these lady tourists from Russia, getting a picture of mom in Fakerri. I know they were here to see the Grand Canyon, but hey. I missed my first opportunity when doing a joyride through Kirkland, young man wanted pictures of his girlfriend with the car. I have no problem with them touching the car. All I wanted was a picture with the Stutz kit car built on a Scout chassis. 😅 This morning while editing the picture, noticed the chalk entry number which is such a coincidence that I can't believe it! 😳 Great way to end the car show for me. I better not calculate how many years between the original Stutz and the Daytona, bet it's about the same time as Ferrari to now. 6

iamsuperdan Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Looks like I forgot a coupel of things. Did some testing of the truck in late May. Drove it to the top of two ski hills/mountains here in the Canadian Rockies. First up was Marmot Basin in Jasper. Ski season ended abotu two weeks before these pics. Aired down to 20 psi and made it to the upper chair with ease. They usually only take snowmobiles and groomers here. Then we drove down to Sunshine Village. Elevation is about 2000ft higher than at Marmot. Ski season ended the day before we arrived. We easily drive everywhere their existing maintenance vehicle go. Then the VP of operations asked if we could see how far we could go.So we drove to the top of the hill. He's been there almost 20 years, and says this is the first time a wheeled vehicle has been able to get to the top. The snow is what they call mid-packed, and is about 6ft deep here. Found the units they normally use here. Coming down was fun. That's the same route we took up to the top. Was a fun couple of days, and fingers crossed, will translate into some business. Have quoted out a total of 6 vehicles to these hills. And once the ski industry as a whole learns about this... Also, it was my daughter's high school grad last weekend. The boy has his college graduation on the 24th. Then in July, my daughter turns 18, the boy turns 21. And then in early August, it's our 25th anniversary. Busy summer! 10

They just excel at different things than we do. They do well on water and swampy boggy areas, where we don't do water floatation. 1
