Tom Geiger Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I really did Nick, she will be 81 in march and in perfect health and does whatever she wants.... God bless her! I have lost both of my parents. My wife has her mother left, but she's incoherent in a nursing home. Enjoy your mother while you have her! I miss mine!
oldnslow Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Doing that myself, went up to Carolina and shanghaied her for the Holidays.
James2 Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 I survived yet another very unproductive production meeting today!
cobraman Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 In a few short hours I will be at Sky Harbor airport picking up my daughter who is flying in for Christmas. She is flying in from California and will be staying home for a full 9 days. I couldn't be happier if I had a cheeseburger in one hand and a corn dog in the other. Even tho she is all grown up at 29 and a lawyer in San Diego she is still my little girl and it would not be Christmas without her. I hope everyone here has as great a Christmas as I know I will have. A very Merry Christmas to all my friends here on the forum.
Tom Geiger Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Great for you Ray! As I sit here I'm waiting for my two daughters to show up, although their two hour drive from NJ to PA isn't as exciting as flying in from San Diego! Enjoy the time together, as you know they were 12 years old, we blinked and now they're adults!
cobraman Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Man Tom you are so right. Where did the years go ? I am happy she wants to come home. Enjoy the time with your two daughters.
Craig Irwin Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Nothing happened that I wanted to post in the "what irked you today" thread.
wayne swayze Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Well, my health seems to be improving at a fairly good rate and yesterday I was able to get in my car and get to the hobby shop, which I haven't been able to do since very early September! My eyesight is improving daily, which means I'll be able to see to get building againso all in all a good day! BTW, picked up the "Blue Bandito" kit, at the hobby shop....WhoooHoooo!
wayne swayze Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Sorry fellas... I neglected to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Happy and safe holidays for everyone!

chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Got a crapload of work done on my Jeeprod! The one on the right is how it started Edited December 22, 2014 by chunkypeanutbutter
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Got several consecutive hours at the bench for the first time in over a year. I'd really forgotten how much I enjoy actually building models. Got in the zone and the hours just melted away, very pleasantly. Even caught myself smiling once or twice.

I spent nearly three hours last night working on models... First time in a few weeks I've been able to do anything on plastic for more than ten minutes. It's funny how productivity comes in spells like that.

Chuck Most Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Gas is at a buck ninety-nine (well, $1.98 and 9/10). I can't even remember the last time it was under two bucks a gallon.

I filled my Jeep friday night and it was $2.29 9/10 at a number of stations near work, but when I left work last night, there were a number of stations down to $2.24 9/10.......I am not complaining!

Casey Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Just drove past a house with a lighted Festivus pole in the yard. Literally made my day. Anybody out on the front lawn airing their grievances?
Chuck Most Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 If any airing of grievances was taking place, it was taking place inside, unfortunately.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 The Feats Of Strength! We went out to Bull Moose and bought audio/video media gifts for each other. Got a great picture of our Ranger, too
