I really did Nick, she will be 81 in march and in perfect health and does whatever she wants....

God bless her! :) I have lost both of my parents. My wife has her mother left, but she's incoherent in a nursing home. Enjoy your mother while you have her! I miss mine!

In a few short hours I will be at Sky Harbor airport picking up my daughter who is flying in for Christmas. She is flying in from California and will be staying home for a full 9 days. I couldn't be happier if I had a cheeseburger in one hand and a corn dog in the other. Even tho she is all grown up at 29 and a lawyer in San Diego she is still my little girl and it would not be Christmas without her. I hope everyone here has as great a Christmas as I know I will have. A very Merry Christmas to all my friends here on the forum.

Great for you Ray! As I sit here I'm waiting for my two daughters to show up, although their two hour drive from NJ to PA isn't as exciting as flying in from San Diego! Enjoy the time together, as you know they were 12 years old, we blinked and now they're adults!

Well, my health seems to be improving at a fairly good rate and yesterday I was able to get in my car and get to the hobby shop, which I haven't been able to do since very early September! My eyesight is improving daily, which means I'll be able to see to get building againso all in all a good day! BTW, picked up the "Blue Bandito" kit, at the hobby shop....WhoooHoooo!

Got several consecutive hours at the bench for the first time in over a year. I'd really forgotten how much I enjoy actually building models. Got in the zone and the hours just melted away, very pleasantly. Even caught myself smiling once or twice.

I spent nearly three hours last night working on models... First time in a few weeks I've been able to do anything on plastic for more than ten minutes.

It's funny how productivity comes in spells like that.

Gas is at a buck ninety-nine (well, $1.98 and 9/10). I can't even remember the last time it was under two bucks a gallon.

I filled my Jeep friday night and it was $2.29 9/10 at a number of stations near work, but when I left work last night, there were a number of stations down to $2.24 9/10.......I am not complaining!

Just drove past a house with a lighted Festivus pole in the yard. Literally made my day. :D

Anybody out on the front lawn airing their grievances?
