Ace-Garageguy Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I have been struggling for awhile to get my weight below 200 lbs. Got on the scale this morning and saw 199.6. I made it ! Now my doctor will probably say "Ok, now lets shoot for 180 ! ". Good job. I've dropped ten since the first of the year, trying to get down to 175 again...which was the last time I thought I looked kinda-OK not-too-fat...six years ago. Sure is hard to do when you love food. Every time I turn up the exercise, I just eat more.
Rob Hall Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I've managed to take off 10 pounds since last August, but still need to take off another 30 pounds to get under 200, my goal. I ran into a former coworker the other day--he's taken off 185 pounds since last August, on a special doctor supervised diet..
Mike_G Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 120 ? I haven't weighed 120 since about 50 years ago ! : ) I weighed 107 when I graduated from highschool in '75- I had to gain 4 pounds to get in the Navy. Mom fixed all my favorite foods for me for a couple of months and I drank about a half-gallon of water before my medical exam, good thing they weighed me before I had to provide a "sample" because I barely made the 111# minimum weight. I weighed 125 before my motorcycle crash 6 years ago, and was down to 117
Joe Handley Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I think Mom has most of you beat, she's been having a bunch of lymphedema related issues, some of which almost took her a couple weeks back (this last month has been the emotional equivalent of a ride on NASA's Vomit Comet, let me tell you!) One of the things they did to try and get fluid out of her is to give her an IV medication that is meant to pull fluid out of her tissue so she can "expel" it. From the time she first went into the hospital right before Easter to the time she was admitted into a nursing home a couple days ago, she "expelled" around 150lbs of fluid!
Joe Handley Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I have a leg that weighs 120. G Believe me, it seemed like each of Mom's did before that IV too!
