slammedi'am Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Was building a redo of an other build I did and had a mishap with the body... So after looking at the Olds that fast n Loud built it inspired me to take the mishap and flip it...Few small detail;s left for it but happy with the out come..
DynoMight Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Cool patina, although it would make it a little more realistic if there were streaks of rust running down the side instead of it just stopping.. Nice build!
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) I LOVE this model. Perfect "survivor" look, and a real inspiration to me to learn the BMF thing. It's entirely possible a car could actually look like this, with good paint on the sides, after being cleaned up...especially if it had been sitting under cover, but not covered. Think of a layer of dust and bird droppings on the top, holding moisture against the paint and fostering surface rust, but not sticking to the lower sides. Edited August 2, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
Byron5150 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I don't see how you guys age these things. I can age guitars but not models. Great patina/ survivor look!!
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Shane, great work! Man you're getting really good with the weathering...
Mach1revo Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The patina looks great but i agree with some others in that a few rust streaks , toning down the chrome and underhood area would pull it all together.
unclescott58 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Great job on the patina. But, you need to do something about the chrome. It's was too nice for a car that's weathered like that. Scott
bpletcher55 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 nice patina ,i.m digging this .you,v got the look just take it lower on the car and under the hood ,not the motor though ,
DeeCee Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 That's cool and great job on the patina , nice build.
1 bad55 stan Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I think you have nailed it!Looks very good...
om617 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Very cool. It looks exactly like those sunburnt desert cars i see sometimes advertised for sale,.
