Wheel Part Pack brain storm...

What wheels (rims) would you like to see included in a Round 2 wheels part pack?

The catch to this question is, that they have to be in R2's back catalog (tooled up by Amt, Mpc, Ertl, Lindberg or PL in the past) and you have to list, the kit(s) they came in.

Not sure if this is what you want but. I think the one and only wheel that I would like to see, and I try to get my hands on these when ever I can is..............The AMT 1965 Riviera the True Spoke Wheels in there are some of the best I have ever seen.

Ed Fluck runs Drag City Casting. He is krassandbernie on here and several other boards. First class resin caster and a great guy to deal with. His stuff is like kit parts, you won't be disappointed.

For a different treatment for nostagia or rat rods, it would be great to see the commercial wheels and tires from the 37 Ford pickup or delivery panel. Sanding the backs opens up the spokes which looks bang on.

To add to all the excellent choices above which I agree with 100%, The chrome reversed from the original AMT issue Ala Kart kit.

Two-fold problem I think, as not always are wheel "hobs" removable from the larger tooling which created the original model kit. In a model kit tool, often wheels, wheel covers and hubcaps are tooled as separate pieces, round, and simply lightly pressed into the larger dies, but not always can they be removed, transferred to other molds for say, a parts pack. That had to have been planned from the get-go, and we've all seen where a chrome tree has been done with that in mind--every once in a while you will see a curved "parting line" in the sprue that attaches to a wheel, which is a dead giveaway. But not always. And I suspect that most certainly all those "Annual Series" 3in1 kits from 40-65 years ago really weren't tooled with any future releases (including modified reissues) in mind.

Re the Astro Supremes: Weren't there a few late-'60s/early-'70s MPC kits that had them too? '71-'73 Cougar comes to mind.

I would buy the chrome wheels in the reissued AMT 36 Ford.They're already on a separate sprue.Maybe include four WWW tires.

Add the custom hubcaps from the original 34 ford pickup, the 40 Ford coupe, the 49 Merc, 50 Ford convertible, hubcaps and mags from the first issue 57 Chevy, the mags from the original 49 ford coupe, and the mags from the 64 F-85 convertible.

I'd love see these hard-to-find wheels. I think the 1:1 versions were made by ET.

I don't recall seeing these in any other MPC kit & wouldn't mind having a few sets for current projects.

MPC included a set of two larger Keystone Klassics as the "front" wheels in the '68 Cuda kit issued in the mid-'70s. Why not issue them as a set of four?

Lastly, I'll add the Motor Wheel Spyders from the MPC mid-'70s + Firebirds.

I'd like to see the Twelve-Spoke Dragster / Altered / Gasser etc front wheels that can be found in AMT Double Dragster kit. Another one would be the Chrome Reverses from AMT '62 Pontiac Catalina.
