Chuck Most Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Another one I just wrapped up, after the thing sat on the bench about 95% complete all summer. It's the newest "Trucks" series reissue, with a few slight modifications. I wanted to build it as a hot rod, with a self-imposed rule to NOT use any of the custom parts from the '37 pickup reissue. To that end, I used the heads and intake from the '48 Ford Convertible, the front and rear suspensions from the '40 Ford Convertible along witht that kit's steering wheel, wheels and tires from the spares box with Monogram '32 Ford hubcaps, and some '37 Desoto bumpers from R&R Vacuum Craft (RIP Ray). I don't remember which blues I used, but both came from the Testors One Coat line.
bbowser Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Not in love with the metalflake but otherwise very cool.
mikemodeler Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Nice looking truck Chuck! I envisioned a black primered, top chopped rat rod build when I saw the topic !
misterNNL Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I see a lot of possibilities for commercial versions and anple space for graphics as well. Who makes this kit?
Chuck Most Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 I see a lot of possibilities for commercial versions and anple space for graphics as well. Who makes this kit? This is the current version- the one I used. The previous two Revell-Monogram versions are the same thing, aside from the decals and one being molded in blue plastic.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Really liking it as a lowered hot-rod, wide whites and all. Very attractive, unusual color combo too.
BirdWatcher Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Nice and clean, love the engine bay too!
Krazy Rick Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I wasn't sure that this was 1/25 .... I have one around here somewhere I've been putting off ..... I thought it was 1/24 ( which I don't build ) ; never sure with Revell/Monogram stuff .... I find alot of the 1/24 too bulky looking. Nice job on yours
DumpyDan Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Very cool, like this kit have one started but never finisher. Yours looks great.
