Brought this home from my Dad's today. It was his Dad's. Hasn't been plugged in for over 30 years. I am just dipping my toes into welding. Just need to get 220v run to the garage.

Really cool looking. Might want to inspect the plug in real close for condition due to age. Had a 220-air compressor that went up in smoke once.

Yep, will do. Thanks for the headsup.

Picked up three 'new' titles for my old PS2! I order my games and stuff from Lukie Games. They deal in used systems and such........... They give you a 90 day warranty on the games and a year on consoles, so it's worth the gamble of buying used.......

Hit an estate sale today and nabbed this Tonka pink Surrey Jeep, cheep:

Missing two roof poles but they're just 1/8" wire, and ordered the missing spare tire off eBay. Paint is in real good shape.

Also scored an autographed photo of Julie Newmar as Catwoman tango_face_grin.png.efa1ca51438caa88ea11249dd3041b52.png

Went to the local library today........... The Hawking book may be a bit over my head, but I always enjoy learning. Always good to get out of my apartment, too..........

Woke up to find this in my model room today! Wife managed to hide it for a week!

She said it was a replacement for one I gave up in the late 70's when times were tough.

While not exactly what I had that I sure could not afford today, it still brings back memories.

Made for a great birthday!

Nice shoe box Ford. One of my favorite cars! Had a 1950 2 door with a V8 with Overdrive. Ran straight pipes and boy did she sound sweet!

I "got" finished with my Christmas shopping. Done and dusted. Fini. Concluded. Etc.  :)

Ours was easy, with 17 grandkids we just get gift cards except for the 3 youngest! (greats)

I kinda mentioned to my Mom that the little lantern that I have really uses up batteries, and she purchased this rechargeable flash light for me........ It has a forward lamp and one on the side that both have two briteness levels. Also it has a pulsing setting in both white and red, like a distress signal. Really gonna come in handy walking the doggo on these cold nights to come! It really is a nice light..............

Every man needs his own stapler, so now I have one too. Value Village score $6 for a 1965 (?) Ofrex stapler. Pretty cool with the chrome.

Hmmmm...probably made in England from real steel instead of "offshore" tin and pot-metal, and will probably last another 100 years.

Yes underneath it says made in England. Totally bought it not only because of how cool it is but because I was very well aware of the double lifetime warranty👍 One of the reasons why I really like vintage things- cool design that’s practical and lasts forever.

Mailman was good to me today.  The Ford Design Studio book has been on my radar for a while, finally snagged one at a good price. From a cursory glance it's a nice book. Will have more time to look at it tomorrow evening.  The 2 volume '32 Ford book is exactly what I thought it'd be & more. I may not have time to do anything with my '32 pile of parts but at least I can start compiling reference material.

Stocked up on bread and milk to get me through the coming snowstorm...'cause that's what you do, right?

Anybody have a good recipe for milk sammiges?

Ed Russo على X: "Snow makes many buy bread & milk. I thought maybe they make a milk sandwich, but it's a bit messy. I must be wrong. http://t.co/yvsZivMXSR" / X

add the milk to a decent size pan and season with eggs, chocolate powder, sugar and flour until sticky, then keep stirring until cooked

In these parts we refer to that as "French Toast Alert"  when everyone races to the store and buys all the bread, milk and eggs  - but you didn't get eggs.
