cobraman Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Just finished this one up. Black metallic fenders with a metallic grey on the body. Built completely box stock. I forgot I used the same colors (or close) on a 40 I did a few months ago. This will be one of my closet cars. Back in the box and put on a shelf in the closet. Not good enough for a display. I have been turning out some real sub par work lately. Not sure why that is. Oh well, better luck with the next one. Thanks for looking.
unclescott58 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Nice. I like the colors. I'd also like to see more of the '40 you show with it. Scott
rmvw guy Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Awesome job Cobraman! I love the pair together.
wayne swayze Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Sub par? Closet? I think not! Come on Ray...don't under rate your modelling abilities...you rock!
tbill Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Ray, you must have one cool closet, cause that looks like a keeper to me. nice job on that, I also like the contrast between the two.
Sixties Sam Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I like it! Display it. It's better than most of mine! Sam
OldTimer50707 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Ray, I wished my best models looked that good.
slusher Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Ray, very sharp model. Nothing wrong with it. You should display it with the 40 Ford...
cobraman Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Thanks guys but photos look better than the actual model. In the closet she stays ! : )
crazyjim Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Bummer Ray. Sure looks like a sweet ride to me.
Danno Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) That's the color scheme of the Colorado State Courtesy Patrol* in the 30's, although they ran the Ford 2-door sedans rather than coupes. Still, it's a pretty sharp looking color combo. * The Colorado State Courtesy Patrol was the forerunner of the Colorado State Patrol, the state's highway patrol. Edited December 19, 2014 by Danno
Porscheman Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nicely done Ray!!! The camera can do wondrous things.

christian-w Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Nice (two) little cars I like the old ones. The colors matching very good to both.
10thumbs Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Ray, good lookin' 37 Ford! I love the 40's too, but the 37 seems just a touch classier, I mean the real cars. I like that you show them side by side! Haven't seen them like this before. Very nice. The 40 looks like a real clean build, good job. Michael
Sixx Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 That's pretty dang cool looking Ray! I like it! At least you're building, I'm still in a rut! :-/
drball Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 That's pretty dang cool looking Ray! I like it! At least you're building, I'm still in a rut! :-/If I am back at the bench, surely you can get back there.
Ramfins59 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Ray, I think you're being too hard on yourself, although I'll admit that we are all our own worst critics. Your models look great. I only box up my older models because I don't have enough room yet to display them all.
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Man Ray. they both look great to me. The '37 is clean, has a fine gloss and fits together well. What's not to love?
