Tom Geiger Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Nice work. I like the four door conversion!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 What a great job! Great looking unbutchered Mercury!!!! And a four door!!!! Amazing, and incredibly beautiful!
Ramfins59 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Jarkko, that is a great looking car. Nice job.
Porscheman Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Beautiful conversion. Love the suicide doors!!!
peekay Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I really really like this one! Great workmanship and there just aren't enough 4-door models around.
Phildaupho Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Great to see a '51 4-door Merc which was one of the first hot rodded cars I saw in the early 1960's after moving to the west coast. It was purple and had a Thunderbird engine. I have often thought of building a model of it but never checked out the availability of a resin body
Maindrian Pace Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Fantastic conversion! You have a great eye, the 4 door sedan body is quite different than the coupe, and I don't see a line out of place. -MJS
ChrisBcritter Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 What a massive job that must have been! Beautifully done. One question: Why does the rear bumper look blue? Was it done with Alclad over a blue base?
Antikainen Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Rear bumper is done with Kosutte gin san- metallizer powder over a light blue basecoat. Actually it doesn´t look blue when seen in nature. Of course comparison to bmf work next to it makes different shade to pop out.
