Installed the second one in the engine shop today. I may install a third one as this is a large room.

It was pointed out to me that the pallets looked somewhat out of scale. So I measured them and, sure enough. While the 40" x 48" dimensions were correct they would be 13 inches high when they should be 6". So I corrected that.

I have admired your work for some time.  The collection of machine tools is really outstanding.

  • The Restoration shop is 31x19x8 3/4. Its walls are hardboard backing, about 1/8 thick.
  • The engine shop is 29x14x10. its walls are foamboard.

Looks like the next machine, or rather a tool in this case, will be a crankshaft straightener. went to the engine shop, pestered Leo into letting me measure and photograph it.

FTB has been busy with three interesting jobs: Cobra Jet 428, Corvette Grand Sport and the Mitsubishi out of a Dodge Stealth.

Pat, I think I'm going to have to make a trip to Canada for fabrication classes. I like to keep going back to look at your shop. Excellent work!!

OK. We'll have to set some time aside for you to teach me how to plumb a truck chassis. If you come in winter, bring your snowshoes. We'll go limber up first.

Brian I have been within a few hours of his house in the summer to fish. You better get a good snowmobile if you go in the winter. Around 16 hours north of the Michigan and Ohio line driving in the summer around the orange barrels. LOL

All joking aside it is always a good time looking at what Pat has added.

Pat,

Your engines are a work of art.  Thank you for sharing them and providing inspiration for the rest of us.

Thank you. I'm having fun.

Reduced a photo of the "hook" and pasted it to a sheet of styrene. Fabbed up a few more parts.
