The tile spacers will become feet for the operators' chairs.

This pull cord bezel from an old set of blinds will donate some window frames, pins & bushings. Its corrugated sides will become louvers on some electric panel.

The control room chairs will look a lot like Trans Am bucket seats.

This is hands down the most impressive example of scratch built and detailed scale pieces on the planet. Your ability to find uses for basic every day items is phenomenal. Words cannot really describe how impressive your work is. Makes what I'm doing look like a toddlers' stick figure drawing. Definitely will be trying to replicate some of your ideas.

The console is nearing completion. Couldn't resist a preview shot.

The dyno itself is taking shape. Used a Scenes Unlimited bell housing to marl the mounting plate holes. I assume shops have a plate for each possible block.

This is so interesting to follow Pat, and for you this kind of work must be very satisfying. You clearly have a keen eye for each small part that can be used to assemble something totally unrelated to the original object. Thanks for posting your progress so far.

You guys give me too much credit. Everytime I throw something away i check to see if there's something in it with potential, then it goes into the bin. Whenever I look for a particular shape, I rummage in there. Only THEN, does it become something else.
