Reeves Racing Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Fun AMT kit that has been recently re-released and a Revell 70 Mustang with a duel quad 427 from a Thunderbolt kit and some after market decals It's been a couple of years since I have worked on anything, this was fun.
High octane Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Very nice lookin' combo Mitch as I was just at my LHS the other day thinkin' bout a combo using the Ford LN8000. How large is that truck in inches, as display space around here is limited? Thanks.
Reeves Racing Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Thanks guys. I am not sure Nick. I will measure it when I get home from work tonight and let you know.
High octane Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Thanks Mitch as I would appreciate that. The measurements don't have to be to the 1/16th but in the vicinity of say 1/4 inch.
BirdWatcher Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Great build. Can't wait to get started on mine. Just too many projects going at the same time. Did you paint both kits with the same paint?
Silver Foxx Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Both real nice looking builds , look great together .
Reeves Racing Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Nick, its 14.75" by 3.75" Bird, yes and no. I painted the truck Ford Wimbledon White but it was too cream colored so I used Chrysler Bone White. The base darkened the Bone. On the Mustang I painted the Bone over the white primer and it was lighter. Thanks for the compliments guys.
Belugawrx Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 That looks awesome Mitch ! Very Nice work on both Cheers
hedotwo Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Same here... I've had the hauler kit on the shelf since it was released and this may be the trigger for me to do mine now. Great job on both car and truck! Changes of subject are a great thing sometimes
