Filter Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 thanks again Where did you get that driver figure from? it's a resin figure from scaleproduction.de called "the drifter"http://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p1735_-the-drifter-.html
Jonj238 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 That looks great! On the interior "leather", how did you make the low spots between the diamonds look darker? It really adds a 3D effect to the interior. It actually looks "soft".
Filter Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 thanks base color was a mixture of tan and red-brown acrylics than i washed with burned sienna oil-color / turpentine mixture - always wear a filter mask while working with turpentine! after drying i dry brushed wit a matt-tan enamel and repeat this two steps until it gets a decent depth
gatorincebu Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 You really nailed this one. I love the whole rig.our interior is great. And your phot background is cool. Be Well Gator
Jim Whalen Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Hi, I'm very, very impressed! Everything about it is excellent - those old AMT kits can look good but we know how much work it takes to get them looking as nice as these. Thanks for putting the link up about the figures as well - will have to check it out.
peekay Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Outstanding models, the figures too - and great photography. Beautifully built and presented.
1959scudetto Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Very nice tanker combo, Axel, with great photographs! You truly give me some inspiration for my Freightliner kits, these workhorses look much better and more realistic than those overdressed Chrome-monsters.
Silver Foxx Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Real nice work on all of this , it all looks so right , nice detail and weathering , great photos .
W-409 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Wow - I'm very glad I checked in to this Truck section after a long time and saw this. Excellent work all over, this must be one of the most realistic Truck models that I have seen in a long time. These are hard to get right, because usually most of the parts are painted with the same color, but this one looks spot on. I like your paint job. It looks very smooth and shine is just right - not too shiny but not too flat either. Very nice work overall, I wish I saw more of this good Truck models being built.
checkmate Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Looks a million dollars, really captured the fleet truck look perfectly. The outside pics came up a treat too. Well done on returning to the hobby.
