DumpyDan Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Now this is my opinion, I never liked this kit or even the looks of it. I have had this on my mind for a few years now. Take a look at the pictures, this was a fairly easy to do.
Belugawrx Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I like it Dan I gotta admit, I've never liked that Ranchero look either What roof did you use?
Maindrian Pace Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I never would have thought of that. You may consider shortening the rear overhang 5 scale inches to replicate the Falcon sedan length.
JTalmage Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Looks like the Fairlane Thunderbolt Roof. Wrong for the year, but looks fantastic on there. The rear tail panel would need some work to look right as well... but I'm digging it so far! Edited February 11, 2015 by JTalmage
RancheroSteve Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Well yeah, but can you still haul lumber with it? I'm liking it; it kinda replicates the look of the Falcon sedan. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this!
khier Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Probably too late now, but what about a camper? or perhaps there is a station wagon resing body somewhere.

fitforbattle Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Wow, that body looks killer. The lines are beautiful.
Atmobil Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 That is a really cool conversion, I like it
Pat Minarick Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I really like this, can you show the trunk area a little closer?
rickcaps55 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 That's great I never thought about using the 64 fairlane roof I'm not big on the Ranchero but love the Falcon. How about the roof from the 64 Comet That maybe more like the 63 Falcon roof I have both body's I think I going to take a hard look at the Comet roof very nice keep this build up dated.
sporty8831999 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I thought maybe this was a trick question!!
Ford guy Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I love it. I know it's not accurate, but it sure looks good, as long as you're not building a replica. I own a 1:1 '63 Falcon sedan and I always thought the trunk and quarter panels looked too short. Awesome job Dan!
