James2 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Up next on the to-do list. My version of the Revell Cali Wheels Nomad. Gotta have them Supremes. Flattened out the hood abit. Pretty straightforward under the hood. Final ride height should be just a tad lower than this. Edited February 17, 2015 by James2
Lowlife ! ! Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 James..... ..... How you doing ? Not seen any of your builds for a while, glad to see your still at it ! ! Anything looks cool with Astro`s , but a wagon is just killer ..... ...... Going to be following this one, hope its stays that low too, perfect stance ! ! Lowlife ! !
Atmobil Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Looks great, I love the stance and style you get with those wheels.
Joker Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 This might be the motivation I need to finish my Nomad. Subscribed.
vintagercr Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 This is going to be nice! Love the rims and tires
James2 Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Thank you thank you! It might be a while before paint. We're in the middle of a freeze here. -2 temps this morning.
DumpyDan Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Not going to paint, I painted this morning -16 c, no problems, I paint years round, rain, snow is the only thing that stops me
MeatMan Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hey James, nice start. I feel you as I'm stuck in Ohio too! Painting is out of the question.
slusher Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Another cool build going James. I Know Randy B gets great results in cold weather but I never could unless it was flat or semi gloss...
James2 Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 I don't have a spot set up right now for my spay booth so I'm forced to paint on the back porch, (un-heated of course) . But I have been warming the paint, spraying then stepping quickly back inside. I have a cabinet I can put the parts in while the dry. Last night I started two toning pieces with good results. So we will see. Thanks guys...
James2 Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Tried a little cold weathrertwo tone last night. I haven'd decided on the second color yet, this is still primer.
James2 Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Adding some more TS-57 Blue Violet and just a touch of BMF to the interior...
James2 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 One last pic of the insides, my lighting situation is terrible right now the color is much brighter than it appears...
slusher Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Looks great James. You can see the color in the above picture on the firewall..
Joker Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 McLovin the paint, James. I'm reversing the colors on mine.
James2 Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 A little clear a little aluminium tube and BMF to come. This is much closer to the real color.
