This is a copy of the 69 Mustang I owned for 13 years. It was nice outside, and I had put a new interior in it. These kit seats are wrong for my car but oh well. I gave the engine a duplicator restoration which is to say I cleaned it up and painted it. This kit has the 289 engine from the 67 kit...close enough. I never had a single issue with the 302 engine in this car.

The previous owner who had started this car had replaced some sheet metal underneath, and I finished the trunk and put a new gas tank in it. I also had it painted. The original color was Indian fire and sorry folks, IMHO a 69 Mustang Sportsroof isn't supposed to be brown... :) The underside was well driven. I replaced the front lower control arms, bushings and etc. I was one of the few people who had about the same money into the car as I sold it for.

Last but not least. The front end of this kit drives me insane. Its like the sad droopy version of the real car. Though I still continue to build it.

Nice. Why doesn't the hood fit?

I think for some reason the grille piece is pushing the grill up. It test fit fine before I put the grille in. Kinda bugs me but I'm moving on. The weird thing is this is probably the 4th one I've done and none of the others did this, so clearly I messed something up somewhere. :)

that's nice replication of your car...

but the rivet counter in me says your engine would have run like doodies due to some missing spark plug wires. ;)

(Hah! the "swear filter" doesn't have "doodies" in it yet. :) )

LOL Mike yup it sure looks line one of my wires fell off. That 302 wouldn't run will on 7 cylinders haha.. Thanks for noticing that. I'll have to get that repaired tomorrow.

Nice job Jeff,

it's good to know about the droopy face on these, cause I've got one to build.....one day. BTW, I think the engine on your 1:1 looks pretty sweet!!

The Boss 429 had the horns relocated and lines and fittings and lines for the oil cooler. Changes those things should be an easy fix.
