Mister Twister Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) I just finished this one a few days ago and I sort of went back to my roots of model building with this truck. I haven't done many dioramas or junkers or commercial vehicles lately because I've been building "shiny" drag cars which I love also. You can check my photobucket link to see many dios that I've done over the years. Anyway...This is a Revell body on a C600 Ford frame with a 6 cyl. Chevy engine. It made a nice scrap hauler and its loaded with junk and debris. The sign says Quality Parts but I don't know how true that is...LOL. Thanks for looking! Edited March 9, 2015 by Mister Twister 1
Sixties Sam Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) Very nicely done model! It has lots of character. Great weathering! Looks like it had a life of hard work! Sam Edited March 11, 2015 by Sixties Sam
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Looks great as a hard working, heavier truck. Fine job. And "Quality Parts"? Sure. High-Quality parts? That may be something else entirely.
Foxer Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 That's a brilliant weathering job! Perfectly done for the job it's doing .. not overdone .. you KNOW it's been working a long time.
crazyjim Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I like like your SHINY builds Darryl, but this one is really sharp and detailed.
Superpeterbilt Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Outstanding build! Great kitbashing. It looks right at home on the bigger chassis. They need to take a torch to those wheel openings though, or else theyll be only driving in a straight line Great job.
thatz4u Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 nice looking scrapper...also great use of your surplus parts. Rusty or not, I think it's kool!!
misterNNL Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Great job and a different take on this kit.Love the gas cap too.
