mrm
I bought one today (well yesterday already) from my hobby shop. Hobby Lobby did not have them yet. I have it opened and just need to upload pictures.
FASTBACK340
It's a nice kit that goes together well and looks good when assembled. Great Hot Rod material...
wayne swayze
I had this kit when it had the gold "chrome". That feature caused me to stall on the build, but I always wanted to see it on the shelves again, as it really appealled to me in 24th scale, with the trailer. For anyone wanting a nicely done T bucket, I would highly recommend this kit.
dragin70s
Is the same kit as the 1974 Monogram '29 Ford Roadster? Saw one yesterday in a thrift store.
keyser
The Little T and Sweet T issues had great period bucket seats similar to the Blue Beetle and re-issued Blue Bandito. The buckets disappeared with one of the later issues, replaced with pleated bench. Sweet T IIRC was only issue with blower, and not a good one. It also still had the turtle deck. I hope the new kit restored the buckets. Great kit, lots of swaps, mods easy to do. Glad it's back.
Matt T.
I my opinion this is the best T-Bucket kit available. This is one I did a few years ago obviously inspired by Norm Graboski's Kookie Kar Hosted on Fotki Awesome build!

Ace-Garageguy
Is the same kit as the 1974 Monogram '29 Ford Roadster? Saw one yesterday in a thrift store. If you mean this kit, the '29 Roadster Pickup, then no, it's an entirely different vehicle. The '29 is a "Model A", and a truck, while the kit being discussed here is a "T-bucket" (a Model T-based vehicle) with a shortened pickup bed (in the current issue, anyway). Though the current re-release looks good, I think the original kit was one of the best, most "right" looking of all the T's ever built. I'd really like to see a full restoration of the first version. Hopefully the current one will sell well enough to possibly justify doing an original at some point. Bernard Kron
I agree that even in it's current form this is the best Bucket-T kit available. I also think the original is miles better with beautifully proportioned details, especially the wheels, tires and exhausts. The mosre recent reissues suffer too much from the whole Fad-T things, and parts like the trailer are just too dated to be of any real appeal. The Little-T is generally in circulation and available if at elevated collector's prices. What a tremendous opportunity for an enterprising after-market supplier to do a back-dating kit for this model. Here are the parts that would need to be included in order to do it (I believe the front brakes would also have to be included): Â This is my attempt at capturing at least some of the spirit of the Little T using the parts I had available in my stash at the time. Without the wheels, tires and exhausts I mentioned earlier it's pretty hopeless, so I tried something different while avoiding the Fad-T thing. keyser
Sweet. I agree completely on those few yet crucial parts making huge difference. I've raided cast off parts lots for years for the turtledeck, tank, wheel, exhausts, and buckets. T is pretty iconic/period perfect with those in place and original wheels/tires. Here's hoping Revell retruns those parts to the tool like they did for the Blue Beetlino.
Mr Dedo
Is this a 1/24th or 1/25th scale kit? The box says 1/24th but quite a few of the parts are 1/25th scale. Built this kit when it first came out. Great source of hot rod parts.
W-409
That picture that Bernard posted, it shows the sad fact that the best parts in the kit were left out of the reissue. It still might be a good kit, but those missing parts would have made me buy several of these kits. Now I have none.

tim boyd
The interesting thing about this kit is that if you go back and read the original Monogram magazine ads from the early 1960's (in both the full size car mags and the model mags), they list the exact specifications of the Big T/Little T kits....and the frame in the T Bucket is listed as a "Z'ed" model A frame. Which makes it the obvious choice (then and now) for many traditional hot rod projects, including those using a Model A (instead of Model T) body. Not to mention kitbashes using the resin T Turtledeck bodies and AMT/Revell T Touring bodies that are out there.... More pictures at this link.... Thanks for looking....and joining me in my scale hot rod dreamin'....TIM Edited February 7, 2015 by tim boyd

afx
I would check with R&MCoMD about a restoration transkit for the Little T. I know Norm did a restoration kit for the Blue Beetle and the Black Widow IIRC. He may have all the restoration parts for the Little T, even if they are not bundled into a set. horsepower
The tires to replicate the original can be sourced from the Monogram Super Modified kit last reissued by Dirt Track Models, the rims from the latest issue of the Monogram '32 Deuce Roadster, also the McDonald's issue of this kit or the old Beach Boys Rockin' Rods kit, I believe that the original six two carb set up can be found in the reissue of the fore mentioned '29 roadster pickup reissue, the headers are a different story, I haven't found anything close in the proper scale. Changing course a little bit, want to add a little bit more power to this? Rob the tunnel ram equipped big block from the '39 Chevrolet coupe, or sedan delivery kit from Revellogram, just need to redo the headers a bit, and you have instant big block power for the "Little T". tim boyd
Stu...I need to go back and check the original build....I think the wheels were in one of the Roth kits....maybe the Outlaw? I can't recall for sure, but it seems to me that, as you suggest, these wheels were also in the Revell Wheels and Tires Parts Packs. CORRECTION- it was the Beatnik Bandit, not the Outlaw (thanks JB). Those are what the wheels look like if you assemble them without the BB's hub caps. Those narrow tall & taller tires were definitely from the Revell Wheels and Tires parts pack, although these may be Norm Veber's knockoff of those. Thanx for the comments...TIM Edited February 8, 2015 by tim boyd
jbwelda
at the NNL west last weekend, one of the best models on display was a "Little Drag", a little T converted and painted like an unpainted Big Drag. Needed decals though, especially the caveman dragging his prize. he built it from all Monogram parts and even starting listing them to me...wish I had taken notes. if anyone took a photo of it, please post it here! I have wanted to do one and now I really want to do one! jb Edited February 8, 2015 by jbwelda

tim boyd
>I think the wheels were in one of the Roth kits Beatnik Bandit I think... jb JB - you nailed it, I just confirmed you are correct. I used the 2001 reissue (in the original box art) for this build. TIM
