To say nothing of expanding the pool of organ donors. -

Ferrari 365GTB Daytona in silver followed by a parked Ferrari Roma (at least I think that’s what it was) in a deep blue. Of course I’m in the midst of a long overdue vacation in Paris and London, (thanks for the planning, Costco Travel, but do you heard the plaintive cry’s from our bank account?) and this in the Vendome neighborhood. Kinda like going to Beverly Hills and seeing a Rolls Royce. Lots of cars we don’t see in the US like Daycias, SEAT’s, dark grey Peugeot’s that seem to be the favorite of plain clothes cops. In Amsterdam seems all the late model taxis are electric and a surprisingly large percentage are Mustang Mach-E’s. -

If you can afford one then I guess you can afford the body/fender repair bills. Or it could simply be a "douche move". -
Michaels getting rid of models?
The Junkman replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My local Michaels hasn't had a kit in 3-4 years. One about an hour away sometimes has them. I stopped looking there quite some time ago and my local Walmart hasn't had any in closer to 10-12 years. -
Goodbye Hot Rod Magazine?

Same sort of thing with both Car and Driver and with Road & Track. I'd been reading both diligently since 1969. No longer receive either in the mail. And I get Vintage Motorsport on my iPad. -

Saw a Tesla pickup (going in the opposite direction of course) on US 101 near Cloverdale, CA. Second one, or maybe the same one twice, I've seen on the same stretch of highway. Based on the recent reports in the media I looked for evidence of rust on the body. Sure enough the whole lower side below the character line was definitely brown. Showed quite a contrast to the upper body. -

Just for curiosity's sake: what years of the Trans Am Series will the Tamiya kit be the best basis for? Or will it? -

Rarity and nostalgia. Now if I could see a 1953 Ford Country Sedan (my family had one until the block cracked) I would feel complete. AND I forgot to add that I came across a cherry 1964 Buick Riviera in black. My problem is I almost always find these things on busy two lane country roads and we're going in opposite directions so no photographic proof. -
Not a review, but a future release "hopefully" - Mustang II
The Junkman replied to Sledsel's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Is it the IMC(?) Cougar II concept car kit with the full Shelby Cobra interior and underpinnings or is it the Mustang II concept car? If R2 somehow had that, a new body (stock, FIA, USRRC) would be all that was needed for a new Cobra kit, which is desperately needed. -

A real good day. Went to the Sonoma Coast 60 miles north of San Francisco to look for whales (didn't see a spout). But on the way and back-in order, a circa 1967 Rover 2000TC in dark green, Maserati Quattroporte in dark blue, Lamborghini Ursus in a mile deep dark metallic blue, newer Alfa Romeo Guilia in blue for the short time it was on the road before something broke, 1983-85 RHD Nissan Skyline red over black (JDM had to be grey market or very recently imported), a dirty green Bentley Mulsanne, and the piece de resistance-1956 Plymouth Suburban station wagon in two tone green and rust patina with a vintage luggage rack on top. Good day for car watching. -
TBH, I don't have one. I DO have a couple of the Revell/Monogram Talledegas but I think they're closer to 1/24. I was toying with the idea of doing a body swap with the Polar Lights racing version but I've got too many plans for cars with "21" on the side and likely the P/L kit's racing mods vs a stock R/M kit would make it not worth the effort.

I think (THINK!) it was an outfit called Time Machine Resins. Only saw it on Ebay. There was some mention on the internet boards of slow order response and wonky business practices then it just disappeared. I had even bought a Fred Cady decal sheet for the Cale Yarborough and Dan Gurney Edition Mercury Cyclones. This would be a great addition to their line. I think they have a good start with the old Torino Talledega kit if it still exists.
