'62 Impala "Demon"

27 October 2013 - 11:26 AM

This was my first model but I wanted to share it to get comments.  Used a concept Camaro for parts.  You'll notice the wheels & tires, hood hump, center console, & mirrors.  Paints not as good as I'd like but I hope to improve on it for my next build.  Sorry about the poor pics.

Home made grille

29 September 2013 - 06:34 AM

Hey guys, I want to make a grille for my project but I'd like to build one from scratch as I'm approaching my budget limit for this project and don't want to buy too much else.  I've looked at screen but think the holes are too big.  Any ideas?  The attached photo shows where I'm going.  I will make cutouts for fog lights and open up the space between them in the piece I put in there.  Thanks in advance.

1957 T-Bird

22 September 2013 - 04:51 AM

Okay so I'm finally getting around to posting my projects. I've got 3 going - sort of.  A 1968 Mustang which is almost done.  Fairly out of the box build.  2006 Camaro concept which I bought as a parts car for my first build (my avatar).  Its going to be a street racer with a pro-mod feel.  My other project is a 57 T-bird that I was given.  Since it was free I decided to go custom with it based on a concept car.  Working on the body mods while I figure out what to do about the chassis.  The suspension and exhaust are molded in and I don't want that.  Any tips or suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

Hey from Northern Ohio

Getting back into models to improve my attention to detail at work (and I love cars).  I've seen a lot of good work on the site and commend all.  I found this site after researching other modified 57 T-birds and saw an old post of someone using some of the mods I'm proposing.  Interesting that we had the same ideas years apart.  My other project is a street rod Camaro.  It was a parts car I used to customize the 62 Impala that is my avatar (note the wheels and cowl induction hood scoop.  I'll be posting them soon and invite any comments.  I'm not a kid so don't feel afraid to give me constructive criticism.  Later.
