  1. I worked at a gas station in 1973 at a Union 76 station., so I was on the front line of that mayhem! That one was due to the Arab oil embargo. One of my most irritating memories was the person that would demand that I check their oil, even though I was jumping from pump to pump trying to get people out of there. Also, back then, few credit cards were used for gas, and if they were, you had to go inside to put their card put through those old manual card presses that used carbon paper, then run back out and pump the gas. Fun times I'll tell you!
  2. Killer build!!
  3. Wonderful custom work!
  4. Don't forget, this was 1975, so there were a few more of these running around than there are now, and people weren't so "collector" oriented as now. I had a friend that ran a 67 Cuda at the track, street stock except for minor upgrades. There were lots out there similar.
  5. Well done!
  6. Welcome Bill!!
  7. Nice!
  8. My personal process of elimination. #1 is well done. Lots of detail work most people won't see. I love it. #2 is nice but nothing that catches my eye #3 is very nice but the trim paint isn't smooth and doesn't accent well. Nitpicking yes. #4 is really cool, love the little extras, but my eyes keep focusing on the front tires with flash, and the one coming off the wheel. #5 is my pick for best build. Its well put together. The aluminum looks realistic, and there are nice extras. The glass looks clean & clear. Just a nice build.
  9. Social media definitely aggravates the situation. It allows people outside of the group that may have planned the event to invite fringe individuals to mass gatherings for hooning and general mayhem. The nearby large city where I live had people from out of town post that there will be a hooning. It went viral and streets & highways were blocked off. In the end, people wound up going to prison for dumb stuff. Kids now have criminal records, wrecked cars (or their parents), and intensified law enforcement. Dunno where this will eventually end up, but I fear it will result in gov't knee-jerking.
  10. Beautifully done!
