409 for 302

17 May 2015 - 05:30 AM

I need a Chevy 409 and I'm willing to trade a 302 from the '69 Camaro.  The block halves have been glued together but all other parts are loose or on trees.  The 409 can be built or unbuilt.

Mad Max Fury Road CBP

15 May 2015 - 11:12 AM

How about this.  With the launch of the new MM movie I'd like to start a CBP in tribute.  Go to the website and look at the vehicles in the movie and come as close to the original as possible.  Voting will be by anyone who cares to comment.  Depending on the participation and desire I'll start a new topic for the final pics.

Duplicate as closely as possible the vehicles in the movie with the exception of Max' Interceptor before its altered.  So many have been done on the original I think it needs some refreshing.  Pics for the updated Interceptor are not on the site.

Post pics of the the four sides of the vehicle in the final pics post (if there is one).  If you want to show the interior and chassis, have at it.

Most of all have fun!!

End of the CBP is December 21, but I know this will go on ad infinitim.

I'd like to edit the end date - lets make it June 30, 2016!!

458 Italia (Revell)

15 February 2015 - 09:06 AM

I wasn't going to post this because I made some boo boos but I decided to post  it with lessons learned.

The Revell 458 has some good and bad things.  I like the interior detail but the fit on a lot of the parts is left wanting as you will see.  I had to do a lot of trimming to make the windshield fit.  The rear hatch was warped but Revell replaced it (thanks guys/gals).  The hatch doesn't fit flush though.  I fabricated the spoiler and exhaust tips  I messed up the front window masking and the rear window tint tho.  Otherwise I like the results.

This was my inspiration:

Oil system plumbing

12 October 2014 - 11:25 AM

Hey All, I'm working on a Ross Gibson engine and I'm trying to figure out the oil system plumbing.  I've studied a lot of photos and diagrams and I think I have it.  Please check out the diagram and give me your input, thanks.
