I placed a few orders from Chuck over the last few months. Service is awesome!

In Topic: Hobby Design Detail Sets ('69 Nova & '70 'cuda)

I have tried using some PE sets  from Model Car Garage. The quality is no problem but there are no instructions or a parts list identifying what the part is. Does Hobby Design  put instructions or a parts list their sets?
Mike

That's odd, all the Model Car Garage sets I have bought have a sheet identifying each part, unless it is a very simple set.

Yes, Hobby Design does provide an instruction sheet on how to assemble multi-piece items and placement instructions.

I already placed an order. I have thier full detail kits for the Ferrari GTO and some Lamboghini's. I was just surprised they are doing American Muscle Cars, hope for more kits in the future.

In Topic: Best masking Tape

I used Tamiya tape to mask off the frame rails on the Revell '57 Chevy Convertible. This was a tedious job that took me over 2 months, working a few minutes at a time as time permitted. Today I finally finished masking and sprayed the floor pan. After all this time the tape pulled off as if it had been applied today, it didn't weld itself to the surface or pull up paint.

Tamiya tape is awesome stuff!!

I have the Iwata HP-C Plus with .3 tip and the finish is outstanding. I have painted a few bodies with no problem, although it does take more passes to cover the body, like painting the body with a sharpie vs covering one side in 1 or 2 passes. Just bought an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS with .5 tip. Havn't tried it yet to compare.

The 1mm tip I think would be too much.
