  1. Well, I have this kit. And I want to build something like this... Only using the Belvedere Body.
  2. I wonder what possibilities there are kit bashing this with a Butch Leal, "California Flash" car? Can I get those big Hillborns to fit the Belvedere? I'd guess so, but the will be only one way to find out. I'll have to buy this kit too!
  3. So would I Eric! It was stolen in 1992.... Never was recovered. I'll hafta try and find a pic or two of it. White Rootlieb body, Red-Orange Wire Wheels. Totally stock motor. Was a "Looks Only" car. It was my only car for a two years before it was stolen. Imagine a Model T Speedster as your only car for 22 Months. Grocery Shopping was really fun. So was the 3 months of Hand Cranking when the starter broke, and I had to save up for a new one. ( I was Young and Broke at the time)
  4. Eric, what a beautiful T!! My '26 Speedster never looked that good.
  5. I've seen Factory Spoke Wheels on T's in both plain varnished and black. Not sure what triggered the difference. As for online pics of Model T's, be sure that you distinguish between 'restored' cars and actual vintage survivors. Many, restored T's are now 'over-restored'. They look great to modern eyes, but are not authentic to the real cars. Instead, they look like what several generations of 'experts' have deemed to be authentic. Many 'stock' Model T's today have been restored two or three times in the last Hundred or so years. Even the subject of this kit is 93 years old! The ICM T? 106 years. Hard to believe.
  6. Now, that is a Build Idea, Mike!! US Gov't Pinto. In Olive Drab no less. Thanks for posting this.
  7. I strongly suspect that this kit was tooled entirely for the domestic (i.e. Korean) market, with North American distribution an afterthought. I want one, but it may be awhile before I get one. I'm glad to see a new tool that is NOT million dollar Supercar.
  8. I bought a 2017. Lease is up this year. I've really liked my Sorrento.
  9. March! That is less than three months away. That is great news! Heck even if it slips until June/July that is still awesome news. Now I can finally build one, instead of hoarding the two I have. (one '29, one'30).
  10. Me Three! There is a mid '70's one that I see here in town sometimes. It is not for sale, Drat!
  11. Man, I came This Close to getting one of these. In the end, the Kia dealer gave a better deal on a Sorrento, so that is what I got. I may have to get one of these! This really neat. Nice to have a chance to get something is at least close to my daily driver.
  12. They could, but the complaints about the detail not meeting 21st Century Standards would be deafening. LOL My opinion is that Revell could extend the tooling for a Wagoneer off the Honcho tool, include an older grill (or even two variants) and they'd have a hit. I'd buy one just to have the older grill for a backdated Honcho build. Sadly, I do not believe that the potential sales numbers would pencil out. I do still hope that we will get one someday.
  13. The Market for the Teddy Bear wheels was Girls who owned VW New Beetles.
  14. Nice, but it badly needs a prop! It looks unfinished with out one.
  15. Look at the wheels offered by Big Donkey Resin. He has some close to that. http://www.bigdonkeyresin.com/big_donkey_web_site_017.htm
  16. Oh, I know that, Tom. I was trying to achieve Humor.
  17. Sweet Forty! I really like the taillight treatment as well.
  18. Bill Borgen would be impressed. I am Amazed! Great work.
  19. That's Okay, Carl. Chad shows at least one coming. The others will follow in due time.
  20. I have both Aurora 1/16 scale Stutz and Mercer kits. They are curbside, but better than the Lindberg kits. Sadly the vinyl tires have caused sever "melt" damage to the wheels and other parts, so the kits are now ruined. I'd like to see Atlantis find those molds!!! That said, I want a 1/24 or 1/25 Mercer, to display next to the MPC Stutz Bearcat. Round2 could re-use the tooling for the tires and wheels from the Bearcat, but would have to start fresh for the rest. If anybody tools one now it will be either a Chinese or Eastern European company. No American Model company is big enough to pay for the tooling costs.
  21. 1. 1912 Mercer Raceabout 2. 1912 Simplex Touring. (Matchbox made a diecast of this) 3. Pre 1914 Pierce Arrow. Anybody style 4. 1916 Reeves Octo-Auto (Never gonna happen, but......)
