Thanks, Snake. I could not figure out what the Tribal Police Chevy was. I have ordered both a resin Suburban and a set of Fireball's steelie wheels and tires. Not sure what I am going to do about the decals, as the real ones (actually available as decals) are completely different than the ones on the TV cars.

Chris Darnell driver of Shockwave jet truck passed
stavanzer replied to DrKerry's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I saw the many stories about that on Sunday night. How awful! And just after his 40th Birthday, too. Rumor was that it was a suspension component that failed, but far to soon to know. NTSB is supposed to be investigating since it happened at an Airshow. -
Can they be built stock? If they can, then the are NOT the kit that has been teased. Prime requirement of the new kit, is that it CANNOT be built stock.

Chris (HPI Guy) did an Unboxing, but did not build the kit. -
I hate it when this happens!

Funny! I really like the car. I did then, and I still do now. It is a "Dream Car" from a Dream...... Are all of your dreams in good taste? It is indeed "Over the Top". I can go to any Good Guys car show, and find a few cars that are just as "over the top", only in ways that are acceptable to more peoples tastes. Still "Over the Top" though. Taste is a funny thing. Just because everyone likes something does not make it tasteful or even good. Just because "You" don't like something, does not make it bad, either. Something to think about.....

What body is the S'cool Bus based on?
stavanzer replied to Oldcarfan27's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
So, Tom designed the front clip for the S'Cool Bus at Chevy for the 1 to 1, and then got to use it on his own kit! Just does not get any better than that. -
No worries. My Build has been stalled by 100 Deg heat. How is yours going?

Man, just the wheels alone would be worth tracking the kit down for. I hope Round2 has the tooling for this.

My Dad has Alzheimer's, and he's forgotten where I live.
stavanzer replied to stavanzer's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Paul, No Worries! It can be hard to Visualize things without maps sometimes. (at least for me). Distance is not real, until I have seen a map. So, no problems, The Two Mikes! Thank You for thoughts and Ideas. My dad has stopped reading, and even magazines with photos only hold his interest for a few minutes anymore. But, I send him pics off the web sometimes, and he likes those. My Dad, made me who I am. I was a disappointment to him, in many ways, and I failed to learn what he wanted to teach me, when he wanted to teach it. I was headstrong, and knew best, when I was younger. I regret it now, of course. So, much I could have learned, from a man aching to teach me, and like a fool, I pushed him away. I did learn a lot from him however, and I am grateful for what I did learn. These (of course) are the things I told him on my last visit up there, the kinds of things that can only be said in person. One of the many reasons I went up there, was to be able to tell him these things while he could still appreciate them. I am most thankful to have gotten that chance in 2018, especially given what has happened to out world since then. My Dad is a Farmboy, who left home, joined the Navy, met his Sweetheart at Disneyland in 1962, and married her over the strong opposition of her folks. (Who later became some of his best friends). He is a Machinist, Welder, Antique Tractor Restoration Specialist, and High School Teacher. He had 2 brothers and one sister. He was the only one to Finish College, and one of only two of the siblings left. He has a dry, puckish sense of humor, and the most magnificent, infectious grin of any man alive. He was the best Father, a man could ask for. -

Neat Build! The workmanship is awesome! -
Carl, I've been happy with streaming service, but they are beginning to play the same game Cable does. More and more steaming channels with more shows spread among different channels. It really depend what you watch. If it is just a few shows, you could be very happy with just Amazon or Hulu.

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
stavanzer replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That is truly odd, Les. I had thought (perhaps mistakenly) that the chassis, engine, ect on that kit had come traight from the older '57 Bel-Air kit. Time to do some more looking at parts and kits. -

Wondering if there has been any new from Atlantis regarding the old Revell '57 Nomad. With the '57 Bel-Air out now, maybe we will hear some news about the Nomad. It looks like the 1/24 Scale (ex-Monogram) '26 Mack Log Truck is almost here. It will be great to have this back, too. Has anybody else seen any news from Atlantis about new automotive kits? -
