  1. MPC Kit is the Airfix, Imported to the US. Eduard is the New Gold Standard. I would not touch the Bandai. Strictly for Collectors or Nostalgia Builders who fancy a good Wrestle, and have forgotten how the kit really is.
  2. Thanks for the links to Hurd Hobbies.
  3. Thanks for sharing that photo! I have never seen those parts before, only looked at the instruction sheet. What a complicated bit of kit!
  4. My Grandson will be back over next week, when his parents go back to work. I'll be showing him these! Thank You!
  5. I look forward to hearing the results, Joe/
  6. Yes, I do know this. But, all those parts in one box with fresh tires and decals, I'm in. Just have to ditch the engines, as both engines in the kit are not suitable. The Ford Motor was seldom used. (Very, Very Seldom) and the other is just as bad. And Neither is the Hemi called out on the decals. Major Fail on the part of Atlantis, but fixable. I'll be dropping in a 283 Chevy, which was used quite often in the little Fiats.
  7. Raining Here. Been raining the last 24 hours. 52 deg. No Hiking today.
  8. Man, makes me really want one, now! Thanks for sharing.
  9. I want to thank all of you guys for posting your cat pictures. Once or Twice a week, my 4 year old Grandson sits on my lap. and we scroll through the "Kitty Pictures". He has great fun looking at the many Cats and comparing the ones in the pics to the 4 that live in his house. (Emmet, Benny, Grayson & Zelda) This really makes his day, and it is a great way to spend time with him in the mornings while we let Grandma sleep in a bit longer. ?
  10. What David says. Nice, but beyond my budget.
  11. Wow, thanks for posting this. I've been listening to Tom's music since I was 17. (42 years ago) His satire helped me cope.
  12. Binge Watched the new "Vanity Fair" series on Amazon. 7 episodes in all. Was really great. My wife and I watch a lot of 19th Costume Dramas on Streaming and really enjoy most of them. We like most anything by Austin, Trollope, Thackeray, Dickens, ect. It is great having the time to watch these shows.
  13. Wow, what a great lesson in scratch building and accurizing. That Interior looks great!
  14. Ranma, please accept my condolences too. Horrible way to lose a friend.
  15. A Movie... I have never seen the 1980 Horror "masterpiece" that is "The Shining". The famous one. Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, and all that. The movie was well filmed, and decent to watch, until you get to the Baseball Bat part. Then, "Gah!" The next 4 1/2 hours of the movie are awful. Loud Shrill (so-called) Music, Nicholson eats the scenery, and poor Shelly spends that same 4 1/2 hours with the same look of vacuous horror frozen on her face. And this is where the modren Horror Movie convention of slowing things down, to "increase the fear" (Bore You with closer and bloodier) camera shoots must originate. And then of course, Jack kills the only hope of rescue. They Showed an "Akitiv Snow Trac"in the beginning of the movie. I thought "Great, I'll get to see it run" (Chekov's Gun and all that). But, No! Jack tears out the Dist Cap, and that's it for the Snow Trac. What a let down. What an awful movie. Glad I finally saw it, but what a Turkey! What a steaming pile of garbage this movie is.
  16. Looks like the "Iron Moths" been at the sheet metal. Musta been Yoopers, driving it! Was this truck used in the U.P.?
  17. Found Out we have a guy here in town, going to HL and buying everything in stock and then re-listing it of Facebook Marketplace, Offer-up and Craigslist. He is cleaning out the shelves at 40% off, and then trying to sell it all himself at higher prices. I know, Buy Lo, & Sell HI, This is not good. Worse, I thought he was a friend. Now, I find out he is doing this. Being a Pro-active Go-Getter? Fine. Buying out all of HL's kits to try to make money? Not Cool. WE will see what happens when the 40% off sales go back to every other week.
  18. Neat Stuff! I have a friend who is this deep into NASCAR.
  19. Great Work! Always nice to see a well done Dio!
  20. Yeah, late war Luftwaffe painting is a whole world all it's own. I'd never even try it.
  21. Also, remember that many real world wreckers are custom built trucks. Hand fabricated, and one of a kind. So, however you build one, no one can say you are 'wrong' in how you did it.
  22. How hard would it be to get the AMT Peterbilt Wrecker? I'd start by trying to kit bash the two kits. The Kenworth W900 you have may need to have the frame rail lengthened. It will be a lot of work, to combine the kits, but it could work.
  23. If you do Late War Luftwaffe, you are an experten. That stuff takes work.
  24. The Squadron/Signal book may b e harder to find, but will have lotsa pics also. I am old enough to have come from an era when S/S books were pretty much the Gold Standard of reference books. (for good or bad). You could try chasing individual photos on ebay, but that gets expensive fast, unless you know exactly what you want.
