  1. So, the business model is established and working for at least two different model companies. That means that it can work elsewhere as well. Be neat to see how the Hobby grows as new players enter, and older, established players adjust to the new tech.
  2. I saw that. Makes me sad. She was special.
  3. I think Jesse is correct about this. I foresee a mix of Curbside Kits with optional Underhood / Engine upgrades, and more complicated kits with all of the details in one package. I can see that Two Tier Pricing and Distribution System might arise, where a kit is sold as a barebone Curbside and a more comprehensive "Detail-Up" version is offered with Photo-Etch, and Decal options. It would resemble the way Eduard sells Airplane kits. The top would be the Royal Class, going all the way down to just a bare bones kit. (or print). If the subject matter interests you, you have a choice. Pay more for an all inclusive box with tons of stuff, or get the basic components, and add parts from your stash. I think this might be a viable option in a few more years.
  4. I'd really like to see that Bugatti come back. It is a Sweet little kit.
  5. Yes, the wheels and tires from the '66 Malibu will fit the '55 Chevy. Both are old Monogram 1/24 kits. Swap away with confidence.
  6. Thanks, Rick. Any way you can post a Photo of them?
  7. I just want the boat. I figure one of "Parting Out Kits" guys on the auction site will have it for about $20.00
  8. Neat Build, of an old truck. There is one of these sitting forgotten in field about 20 miles from me, painted for "Farmer John Eggs" I remember it on the road into the late 1990's, but they have since swapped the bed onto a newer cab over chassis, and left the old truck to slowly rot away.
  9. Great Builds! Those 1950's German Truck were certainly Colourful!
  10. Cool Build, Chuck! Your usual superb weathering, and great subjects.
  11. And, where did you get the Wheels/Tires for the One Ton?
  12. Well, this proves that the tooling IS still out there, and due to a severe case "I know What it's Worth, and I'm not going to be cheated", it will never be run again. He'd be best served to get something out of it, while he still can, and I'll bet he he has been given that advice repeatedly. I'll also bet he is holding out for a better offer. A better offer, that may never come. But, That is of no matter now. We will just keep selling an ever dwindling number of "M.I.B.", "Partly started", "Built" & "Glue-bombed" Jo-Han kits amongst ourselves. Someday there will be no more "M.I.B." kits, but the rest will keep trading hands for a long time.
  13. Makes sense. AMT has tooled no more than two or three boats, total. Of course they will keep reusing the same tools over and over. But, re-creating the Aqua-Rod Version, that is Just too Cool!
  14. I just want the Boat & Trailer. The Nomad Wagon is a Must Have, though!
  15. Anybody seen the Decals for this kit yet? I cannot find a pic of the decals anywhere.
  16. Ah!! Thank You.
  17. I love it! It is bad, so bad, yet un-forgettable. ?
  18. I really hope those are the Kit Tires!
  19. Looks Good, Mike. Is it done yet?
  20. Thanks, Carl, I did.
  21. I'd have been back at the Auto Parts store right now exchanging the box, for a pad that didn't fit. I've done too many brake jobs, to use a pad that did not drop right in. Brakes just too important to monkey with grinding anything to fit.
  22. We have a 2006 Ford 1-Ton Van with over 3 Hundred Thousand on it. Outside looks passible from a distance, but the inside is gone. I should try to get a pic of it.
  23. So who will be the first Decal Vendor to offer up the Simpson's "Mr. Plow" artwork? (I know, getting the permission to do them, kills the project.....)
