  1. I have built a couple of these. To my eye the wheels and tyers are both too heavy and crude, and undersized, at the same time. The Tyers really look bad to me, although I know they are supposed to have been freshly researched and tooled for this kit. They have never looked right to me. The kit goes together well, otherwise, and I quite like it. The Front IFS (?) on the Rod Version is both Heavy and clunky. The Rod Small Block has some top notch speed parts. (valve Covers and Air cleaner). Worth tracking down.
  2. Love the trailer, Tim. Looking at the two trailers ('63 Wagon & '68 Coronet) It appears to me, that the two trailers mentioned in a long ago SAE Magazine Article as being U-Haul style trailers, are both going to be on the market. Given the That the Tilt Bed ('76 Caprice) and the Two Axle (Mod Stock kit) are both out there too, we now have 4 of the 5 most common MPC/AMT trailers in fresh plastic for the first time in 45+ years! This is great!
  3. I'd be willing to bet, that a lot of Model Builders will want this kit. Round2 does their homework, on sales, and this kit is pretty sharp. Just wish it had some wider tires. The ones in the (while the same as the original kit) look too small to my eyes.
  4. Want these Wheels! 4 out of 5 Fords, around here back in the day had these Wheel Covers.
  5. Indeed! Both Lead Actors are at the Top of their Form.
  6. Can we talk about the trailer in this new kit? Seems to me, that those of us who want trailers have gotten our wishes fulfilled lately. Got the one in the '63 Wagon, and now this "Haul-a-way" (U-Haul) trailer. It's a good time to like trailers.
  7. I'll be changing the Wheels, on mine. The 'Spokers" just look bad in the MPC kit.
  8. The period Speed Equipment is nice, too. I've got that kit, and the '33 Sedan for a build.
  9. But, Oh so true. Why IPMS is shrinking away, in my opinion......
  10. Beautiful StuG! The kit may be old, but it sure builds nicely!
  11. I cannot understand the choice, myself. It is an odd way tp mold the part. Maybe it was done to attempt to avoid warpage of the very thin parts on the bottom of the window frames. Any way, another question? Which Tires will it Get? The Same as the Last Bronco and the Firestones F-350, or the Desert Dogs(ex-MPC) which we Have not seen in awhile? And Did the kit ever have any Wheel Options, or is the only choice the 'wagon wheel' style that I see on the directions?
  12. Great Project. It looks Super, so far.
  13. Fresh Decals, No tire melt on the glass, and white plastic. I think it is a great Idea. And, if sold at Hooby Looby, it showcases this kit to three generations of buyers who may not have ever seen it, or knew it existed. With Supra's always being in demand in the 1-to-1 World, no better time to have one on the shelf.
  14. Kinda "Meh", to me. Looks awfully bland. They want to price that kit at $39.99, the box art had better be alot more exciting than just a washed out red truck.......
  15. Note: That One Piece Spare/Rack is really flimsy! It bends/breaks easily.
  16. Another turn around the block for the '66 Ford. The New Decals will be nice to have. Nice to See the Peterbilt COE. Been waiting for the '67 Cyclone. That is the last of that 1990's trio to be released. The '34 Ford will be bashed and overlooked by the cognoscenti, but sell in vast numbers to the guys who just want a '34 Ford. Coupe. New Tool Chevy Doolie! Bring it on!! It will be nice, to have the '70 Super Bee back as it has been a few years since HL had them on the shelves. Another Bronco? Be Still My Heart! First the AMT '78 Wild Hoss, and now the MPC Kit! Our Cup Runneth Over. Good Show , Round2! Some inspired Choices on this list.
  17. Sharp Looking, Two-Tone Banger. You really made the old Revell kit shine!
  18. I hope the Roof Light Bar, and Double Roll Bar show up. Having all 3 intake options would be great, but Even the base kit appears to include the Turbo. I had the Dust Devil, back in the day. Like to have another one.
  19. Sounds like a Plan!
  20. Here is the HPI Guy Video of that kit. Short Answer: Hood Molded Shut, but Inner Fenders on Chassis.
  21. Woo Hoo!!!! Hope it gets the Turbo!
  22. Supposed to be a great kit. I find the tire halves disappointing, though. Have you seen "Low Buck Garage" on You tube? He does some nice Flat Fender Jeep Vids.
  23. I really like the look of the wheels on the '65 GTO kit! I can see using those on other kits, too. I hope Round2 has tooled them in a fashion that will allow them to sell just the wheels as a separate parts kit.
  24. I see Model Roundup Online has these kits on Pre-Order Status. They're getting closer! I cannot wait to see HPI Guy's review when he gets one.
