I had a '72 beetle. Clutch would have been fine, highway speeds however would have been suspect. Same as any actual hill.

Great start. Engine looks fantastic. Console looks great too.

Just curious if you washed your model before starting the paint. I never did this, but once I started I discovered it made a huge difference. Tamiya uses a mold release on the plastic that needs to get washed off. I generally use Dawn dish soap. Put all the parts in a Dollar Store plastic shoe box. Just dip the parts in swish side to side a bit, then rinse gently. (I also have a sink strainer in place to catch small pieces that may come off of the sprue). Let them dry a day or two and you should be in really good shape.

I love blue Ferraris. I built my Enzo in Blue and I think it looks awesome, especially with a tan interior. One should never be shy about using different colors on a Ferrari, they will build you one any color you want, with any color interior as well. Great job, I like the opening headlights as well. Is that easy to do one the model is finished?

I really like that color. Great work!

Love that color scheme. That car has such beautiful lines, it would look good in almost any color. But the blue and yellow really makes it pop.

Here is the box front. Not all that interesting, I typically only build race cars, so I turn the box and look at the side. OK, that's better. A full out race variant, something I can sink my teeth into. That is a big Ford V-8 stuffed into a tiny car. Seriously cool stuff. Kind of proud of this touch. There was no grill. So I made one out of leftovers from my Peugeot rally car build. Looked good in the end.

Fabulous work. The interior color is spot on.

I actually have two of these cars. I started this one a couple of years ago. I was having issues with my eyes (cataracts at a young age) and so it got set aside for a while. I was building this one so that when I built the Valentino Rossi one of Rally Car. Now I forget most of ins and outs, so the Rossi version will be all new. LOL. Please pardon my iPhone picture skills, which aren't great, but I need better lighting in my modeling area, in the basement. Front of car view Rear of the car. Something funky happened with the rear light glass. I do not think I used super glue, because I typically use clear paint but I am thinking I did. No saving these. Side view. I painted the figure and decided to stick with one. The kit comes with two figures, but the arms and faces are identical, so I am not going to have that. Overall this was a great kit and came together nice.

If you can get a hold of some. The foil from Marlboro cigarette packs has the exact same patterning as the heat shielding used on race cars. It is very close to scale. I think I measured it at 1:28, but not enough to notice.

Beautiful and inspiring. I may need to get one of those kits.

I have this kit. Your build has inspired me, it might get bumped to next in line.

Nice to know that there are other F1 kits out there rivaling Tamiya. I have built a lot of Tamiya F1 kits, and I only have a few left to build. Great job of the CF. I know how tiring that can be. Apply one decal, set aside, wait. Repeat 400 times!

Curious about how you made the light. Came out really nice.

I built that kit. Really fantastic. Great work!

I have this kit, but I have not built it because I can not decide if I want to build it clear, or paint the whole thing. -
Out of this world! Sorry, couldn't resist. Very nice job. The paint is excellent.

Love the piping, I may have to try that some day.

I love this. Everything is so wrong. A diffuser, turbo, raft on the roof, rusty, graffiti, and those wheels and tires! It is all so awful, but it works so well and it is very cool. Your ability to blend it all and make it seem so real. Very cool photography, it does look 1:1 in that setting. I know if I saw that on the street I would have a huge smile on my face. Keep it up!

So if the curvature isn't right, could I heat it with a heat gun and bend it some more? Has anyone done this? How do I know when it is hot enough?
