You are always your worst critic. When I used to compete I could list many many errors in each build, but the judges would see differently. You did a great job.- 18 replies

The real test of scratch built is when it looks like it was a kit. If you hadn't told me the work you did I would have thought it was a kit. Outstanding job.- 18 replies

The weathering is fantastic. Great job. -
Unpainted needed a lot of clean up to lose the heavy lines and flash. Found a bronze color that is a very close match. Painted and mocked up on the frame. The frame is assembled around the engine. Here it is installed in the right side of the frame. Exhaust nuts and oil filter cover installed. Making good progress and happy with it so far.

Finally got some bench time and got some serious work done. Unpainted (And the directions said black) So I needed to dress it up a bit. This has been touched up since I took the pic. In the swingarm. Other side of the swingarm,

I am loving this. Always great to see someone being creative and thinking "outside the box" if you will.

I have a 1:24 scale copper Tony Stewart signed fan club only diecast which was worth $250 when it first came out. Now you can not give them away. I have a lot of diecast, luckily I never considered them an investment, because they are worth nothing now. -
I love the unusual cars, and racing cars are my thing. This is a great subject and you are doing a great job so far!

It is, sorry about that, I didn't see the scale of the kit you built. What is the scale of that?
-
I highly recommend the Tamiya Bug kit over the Revell kit. I have built both. The Tamiya is a dream. The Revell needs a ton of clean up to look right and scale.

I have dined on honey dew and drunk the milk of paradise. Great work with the build!
-
I may need to pick this kit up! Thanks for sharing!

^ Thanks for sharing that! The bike has been on hold because I have been searching for paint. Now I will be able to proceed! I will search to see if anyone around me carries ZeroPaints because I like to support local hobby shops as much as I can. Just found out that my local Hobbytown is closing, which is a real bummer.

Would this work for a paint booth?
r60man replied to r60man's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have used open type boxes in the past, however the fans never collected all of the fumes, and my wife complained of violent headaches every time I painted a car. She can not use nail polish either. SO that was why I wanted to go fully enclosed. -
Is this still going on? I am a bit East but I would love to come out and join some fellow modellers.
-
So for years I have wanted a paint booth and I have seen various ways to make one. But I got my new Harbor Freight catalog the other day and spied this. I am thinking of mounting a sparkless fan on the left side outlet. It is made for blasting media, but I think I would work well for a nice dustfree paint environment. What do you all think? I can get everything I need for under $100, which is pretty nice.

Very cool. I have a friend with a CT-90 addiction. He is up to 4 now. One is restored others are in the process, and he is always looking for more. Amazing original survivor!
